I was invited to Agriturismo Paradiso for a small family celebration, but more than paradisiacal, my experience was very much like Purgatory: I wanted to faint like Dante several times: the first in front of the hard and tasteless crostini (I believe they were made of corn) at the appetizer, the second in front of undercooked and bland pasta with only a few sad vegetables (peas, carrots, and who knows what else), and the third in front of the non-existent dessert. During the reservation, we had stressed to the owner that shortly before lunch, a waiter would liaise directly with me to choose the courses. I didn't even see a shadow of that. I asked, if possible, for a pasta with meat sauce (everyone else had lasagna and gnocchi, why was my pasta so unappetizing?), and they rudely responded, only to bring me the pasta even more undercooked (inedible, really) and even mistook it for another customer's. Bread? Zero. Dessert? Zero. Any other attention? Zero. The result is that I returned home bitter, devastated, and disappointed, stopping for ice cream along the way. Don’t write “Gluten-free options” if there are no actual options.
