La Lanterna Ristorante Pizzeria offers a wide selection of dishes, including an excellent gluten-free pizza cooked separately in an electric oven with artisanal dough. Although not officially affiliated with AIC, it is still appreciated for the quality and safety of its dishes.

Gluten-free pizza is truly terrible, the dough is like bread. Probably those who say it’s good have very low standards. Yes, it’s true that the pizza is cooked in a separate electric oven, but the quality with its €4 surcharge is a slap in the face to the customer.

Very good gluten-free pizza. It is cooked separately in an electric oven and the dough is handmade. It is not AIC certified, but my son, who is symptomatic, had no problems. It's also possible to order first courses, second courses, etc. The cured meats and the meat are very good. I recommend it!

Great experience. With two celiac children, it's always hard to find a good place to eat safely. Here we felt great and everyone was able to eat one of their favorite dishes, whether it was pizza, pasta, meat, or fish. Quick and friendly service, very nice location with plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces. I rated the environment 4 stars because, in my opinion, the indoor area should be better air-conditioned. Some choose to stay indoors instead of outdoors at one of the beautiful tables in the streets of Assisi just for comfort reasons. In any case, it's yet another confirmation that in Umbria you eat well and at non-touristy prices, unlike certain rip-offs I encounter at home. A special mention for the Strangozzi, really delicious!

Beautiful location in the center of Assisi characterized by a style that blends ancient and modern. The vast collection of wines and selected furnishings create a special atmosphere for your dinner. Menu with a wide choice of typical Umbrian traditional dishes and more modern, revisited ones, not to mention the delicious wood-fired pizzas! Welcoming staff, very helpful, impeccable service, and clean premises. Suitable for dogs and people with dietary requirements with the possibility of gluten-free modifications. We will definitely return with great pleasure, I recommend it!

I went to this restaurant with a group of friends for a Saturday lunch during a stay in the city. We found it by chance on the street we were walking, and we decided to stop since we were a fairly large group and there was plenty of space. We had the chance to try typical dishes while some of us opted for pizza or lamb, but overall, we were all satisfied with both the food and the wine. The staff proved to be courteous regarding our requests. There are various gluten-free options available.
