Unfortunately, we have only discovered this wonderful place today. The focaccia is super good! Better with onion 😏 Not to mention the pistachio croissant 🥐! A marvel. We spent two days wandering Genoa a visited Bakery 1970 many times. I discovered their chocolate cornetto on our final visit before an early morning coffee. Get up early and get there before they sell out. If you are celiac and looking for a great morning treat this is it. Their pizzas and focaccia are excellent also but the chocolate cornetto is the prize😁

Before discovering I was celiac, I had the chance to try the products from their other bakery (in front) which were phenomenal, and I was really sad that I couldn't eat them again, but then I found out about this other bakery of theirs and I must say they make equally exceptional things!

Sublime experience 🤍 I stopped by with the idea of grabbing a piece of focaccia before boarding to Olbia... needless to say, I didn’t leave empty-handed! Maybe it’s because I haven’t discovered I’m celiac for long, but I truly had tears in my eyes and the icing on the cake was put on by the lovely lady at the counter, who was very kind and helpful, with whom I even had a little chat. She offered to vacuum seal the focaccia for my journey. Of course, it was delicious, and as promised, I will also stop by on my way back! 😍 Highly recommend!!

A very pleasant discovery among the alleys of Genoa that saved my day. Quite close to the Cathedral, I found this bakery where I could taste the classic gluten-free Genoese focaccia. All the savory items were excellent; perhaps the one I liked the least was the sweet croissant, but maybe the puff pastry didn't turn out too well that day 😜

It's a shame about the really small place, but I must admit that the focaccia is spectacular. So many varieties, tasty, delicious, and amazing!! I ordered a fruit cake for a birthday, it was delicious, high-quality fruit and exquisite pastry (by the way, they don't use butter), the focaccia and mini pizzas were equally good. The girls who work there are very nice and the place seemed extremely clean to me. Thank you!

This gluten free bakery has so many choices - gluten free focaccia, cakes, pizza slices, biscuits, brioche pastries, breads, desserts etc. The texture of the focaccia and pizza bread is mind-blowing! So tasty and plenty of choices to suit everyone. They also have tarts in a fridge which are wonderful too. Great value for money as the price is a lot cheaper than any gluten free bakery or food I have found in Florence, Pisa, or the Cinque Terre. I got a huge pizza slice, berry tart, and cream cake for 2-3 people all for €10.

After trying the focaccia and some cookies (everything was exceptional), I picked up the cake for my birthday from Bakery 1970. It was a heart-shaped millefoglie with chantilly cream and fresh fruit, beautiful and delicious! Extremely friendly and professional, it has become my new go-to place for gluten-free pastries in Genoa. Well done!

I used to tell everyone that you can eat everything gluten-free except for one thing: the croissant in the morning... It's no longer true... I've never had a croissant like this since I stopped eating gluten!!! The focaccia is also superb... (A little small, but that's fine.)

They do everything: pizzas of all kinds, focaccia, savory pies, bread, cookies, some brioche, and above all, what they make is DELICIOUS. They also make pizza bases and birthday cakes to order. The only downside is that it might be a bit pricey, but it's worth it.

We were extremely satisfied with the quality of the ingredients and the precision with which the dough was made. Highly recommended for anyone with gluten allergies or celiac disease.
