this place is really good - wine is a very good price and the mussels I had were the best I have ever eaten. the fresh gluten free bread - also award winning. the pizza base - not sure if the best I have had (my husband thinks it is !) but it was really really good - the rest of my family don’t eat gluten free all loved it (maybe a place in avetrana was slightly better but I would definitely come back and as mentioned previously the mussels and bread out of this world ). the people who run it also lovely too - so a win on that score as well

I had a diavola pizza and it was exquisite, you can really tell it's handmade with excellent gluten-free dough and it has a wonderful flavor. When I pass through Porto Cesareo again, it will definitely be my first stop!!!

Great selection of gluten-free pizzas, first and second courses. I had the pizza and it was really excellent, a nice and welcoming place. While I was waiting for the pizza, the staff let me try two types of freshly made gluten-free croquettes, which were great. I can't certify non-contamination, but considering that it says "gluten-free laboratory" on the kitchen door, it suggests a declared level of attention. I will return.

I tasted these dishes in the photo, all strictly gluten-free and lactose-free. I was surprised by the quality of the frying but especially by the goodness and quality of the homemade bread. Recommended as a stop if you find yourself wandering in the historic center of Porto Cesareo and are looking for food safety if you have allergies and/or intolerances to gluten and/or lactose. Final treat at their stand near the restaurant: Gluten-free and lactose-free chocolate crepes!

We went there last night, we ordered the tarantina mussels (I preface that used to the generous portions of Romagna, we ordered one to share) and upon arrival, there was a small plate with about 20 mussels (had we known, we would have ordered one each, because they were very good) so apart from the portion, great quality. Then we had a very good mixed fry but the same problem as before, a bit small portion. Prices are reasonable if the portions had been a little more generous. Certified establishment.

DON'T GO FOR PIZZA!! I was there last night, I had mixed fried food (fries, meatballs, and croquettes) as an appetizer, very good, but unfortunately, the pizza is not made by them; it's a base. We ordered the leccese and the Cesarina, the dough turned out to be thin and rubbery, almost like a focaccia and not very good, it seemed still raw.

During the itinerary for my vacation, I passed through Porto Cesareo to attend the market. For lunch, I had made a reservation (on the advice of the owner) at this place for 1 PM. At 12:30, I arrived at the entrance since the market was winding down and we didn’t know what else to do. A girl came out and asked what I needed, and I mentioned that I had a reservation. She looked at me strangely and had me check if the number I called was correct. After confirming, she asked us to return in half an hour, which honestly disappointed me a bit under 35 degrees even though I had booked for a different time; we were already there... After half an hour, they seated us, and we were the only customers, while two girls (I think the owner's daughters) slept behind us throughout our lunch, which is why I only gave one star for the atmosphere. However, I must say that the wait was worth it as the puccia we ordered (gluten-free like practically the entire menu) was truly EXCELLENT, extremely tasty, and really appealing in appearance. I have never eaten such a fresh puccia before. Congratulations!

The location is included in the AIC circuit. The menu is completely available even gluten-free. Gianni & Anna, along with their staff, are wonderful and do everything to satisfy the customer. Prices are absolutely honest despite the high quality. Gluten-free pizza and puccia doughs are artisanal and made by them. Everything is delicious! Not to mention the surprise... Besides being celiac, I cannot eat dairy, and on the last evening, they prepared calzones with vegan Nutella 🌱. Extraordinary! Oh my, what an emotion 🥹, I've never eaten them in my life since I discovered celiac disease, and also Nutella 😍.

We went to la Tenta and just like on other occasions, we had a great time. The cuisine is excellent, and you can enjoy wonderful Salento specialties that are true to tradition, and listen, even in gluten-free versions!!! Moreover, Gianni, his family, and all the staff at the restaurant are welcoming and very kind... in short, for anyone passing through Porto Cesareo, it's a stop that you absolutely shouldn't miss!!!!

We went out for dinner yesterday, we had the puccia with octopus, which was a real delight, and the portion was definitely abundant. The place is also prepared for gluten-free cooking and is located right in the center of Porto Cesareo. Moreover, Gianni, the owner, and his wife are very accommodating and really kind people. GLUTEN-FREE: we start from here as it was the reason why we chose it having a celiac daughter. They cooked mixed fried food (with a clear asterisk for the frozen product) and we had a schnitzel with fries, two pizzas, a beer, and a sparkling water...€56.00. The pizza had a not very good tomato, strange taste... but edible. The place has tables on the side street near the small square where the lights are. The lady was very knowledgeable and kind in explaining the gluten-free possible dishes.

The menu clearly indicates gluten-free dishes, and there are two pages dedicated to pizzas. I had both the pizza and the mixed fried dish, and both fully satisfied me. They also served us some delicious handmade breadsticks! The owner made sure to tell me that if I saw a bit of flour on my pants, it was still gluten-free! So there is maximum attention and knowledge of the subject.

We visited this pizzeria on a night in late August 2021. We chose to try it because of the decent reviews and the particular attention the place paid to gluten-free options. We were very satisfied as both the fried dishes and some more traditional plates, like the puccia salentina, are offered in an excellent gluten-free version. There is a wide variety of choices in pizzas (which are also available in gluten-free versions) and excellent ingredients. Port Cesareo is a charming setting, so it's worth a visit, and the prices are absolutely fair. We will definitely return.

Informal local spot, but well-equipped. Both the pizza and the cuisine are excellent. We mainly turned to them because they offer gluten-free dishes. All the fried foods, fish, and beers are great. Highly recommended also the crepes (including gluten-free ones).

Terrible fish and bad service. We called beforehand just to make sure they served gluten-free food for celiacs, as stated in the description on the website... but when we got there... NO PASTA, I'M SORRY, ONLY RICE!!! You do this for me? NO, I'M SORRY, BUT WE DON'T DO THIS GLUTEN-FREE... So, if a celiac calls first because they don't want to find themselves in this situation... don't say yes, we do everything if it's not true, and on top of that, we paid a fortune!!!! And we left everything because it wasn't good... seafood salad that was pre-packaged because it only tasted of vinegar, and the fried food was like chewing rubber. Total disappointment.

Simple but good place. Many dishes are gluten-free (AIC) and this is great for those like me who have a daughter with celiac disease. The gluten-free pizza was good, and the other dishes like the fried calamari, octopus in pot, and peppered mussels were quite good too. The girl who served us was very kind and provided all the necessary reassurances for gluten-free options. We will return as soon as possible. Thank you!

The hunger and the goodness of the dishes allowed us to photograph only this. Truly everything was great, including the friendliness of the owners and the "young man" in the dining room who kept us company with his travel stories 🤗 🐟. A tiny place located on a small side street of the main avenue of nightlife in Porto Cesareo. A quiet spot with excellent family-style service. Regular à la carte menu, with an incredible surprise... They have an à la carte menu for celiacs (with AIC certification) that includes both pizza and the traditional "Puccia Salentina", as well as various types of fried food including fish. I highly recommend it for a special evening. The staff is fantastic and well-prepared! The owners are excellent! Adjacent to the restaurant, right on the main avenue, the same pizzeria has a stand where you can enjoy magnificent gluten-free and lactose-free crepes!
