As a lactose intolerant person, I've learned to give up ice cream when I'm out: unfortunately, very few places cater to everyone's dietary needs. Last month, in Mola di Bari, I wanted to repeat what had become almost a rhetorical question for me: "Do you make lactose-free ice cream?" The answer came immediately: "Everything here is lactose-free, even the cream." For a moment, I felt lighter, without the burden of having to check every choice. My intolerance was no longer an obstacle, and for one evening, I felt like everyone else. The ice cream was excellent, rich in flavors I thought I had forgotten! Five stars not only for the quality but for the genuine attention towards people. If I lived in Mola, I would go back every week.
