Lovely gluten-free pastries and a variety of breakfast and lunch dishes — all completely gluten-free! Gluten-free food is usually dry, but not at this café! The croissant was perfectly soft and crispy. Highly recommended for anyone who doesn’t eat gluten!

The products are very good. Pastry and rotisserie are at very high levels. It is pleasant to enjoy a walk along the course while having breakfast or an aperitif. You can also do some shopping. They work very hard, but the sloppiness and disorder inside and outside the venue cannot be justified. The service is a bit rough around the edges.

Gluten free, lactose free paradise I went to Colibrio Pasticceria Bistrot and was surprised by how many gluten free delights they have, whether you want to sit, sip, and stay… or take anything home. My picks? A almond milk cappuccino, I would prefer it stronger. Arancini was delicious, and a millefoglie so crisp and flavorful it should come with a warning label: “May cause instant joy.” And that red velvet cake… soft, creamy, dreamy. I seriously wish I could eat more! Everything was so delicious, I couldn’t believe everything was gluten free. 100% worth the visit if you love good food, and that “wow” feeling after every bite

A small place that offers good food and attentive staff, they also have many lactose-free options. Unfortunately, the table service was lacking; there were two of us and they only provided a couple of dirty utensils to share. When I asked for clean utensils, only the dirty one was washed. On the bill, we were charged the full price for a product we ordered only half of... I hoped for better, unfortunately.

The place is super well-stocked, they have pasta, flours, various snacks, and, most importantly, the pastry and rotisserie counter, all gluten-free. We tried typical items like panzerotti, pasticciotti, and focaccia. The pasticciotto was good, but the focaccia... INCREDIBLE. Good, on par with any regular barese focaccia from a bakery. I was really happy to be able to let my girlfriend taste a proper focaccia. The only downside, unfortunately, was the panzerotto; it was good but not artisanal, though I understand that frying can complicate things. Overall, everything was good; we will keep this place as a reference point from now on. P.S. The staff was friendly, fast, and polite.

We visited this place to try the typical local gluten-free products, and we found both savory and sweet options, all gluten-free. We tasted panzerotti, focaccia barese, brioche, and other desserts, everything was definitely great, though perhaps the savory items had a bit more flavor. For someone with celiac disease, it’s definitely a paradise to find a place like this, which also sells packaged gluten-free products in case they are needed. The staff seemed a bit disinterested in selling and presenting the products, and it’s a shame because a person with celiac disease facing all these products could easily and good-naturedly be 'tempted'.

Unfortunately, I was not satisfied. The cream in the croissant was too thick and heavy, and the cappuccino was really too light. Furthermore, the lady who brought the orders did not pay attention to distinguishing between the decaffeinated cappuccino and the regular one: she simply left them on the table and walked away without saying anything.

The bald man with the beard at the cash register charged for the service when he only served one person, the only celiac in our group, and when we complained, he behaved rudely, grumpily, and was even willing to argue by insulting us in the Bari dialect. We were willing to pay for the cover charge for the only person who sat down to eat. Paying for a non-service makes no sense. He described himself as a restaurant, but it is just a simple bar with some references to a café. A disappointment due to behavior that I find indefensible. Not being able to respond directly to yours, I follow up here with my comment. Calling him bald is not body shaming but rather describing the gentleman's hair condition who insulted us in Bari. On two separate occasions, he pointed for us to sit outside without providing service or cost information (so much so that the only person who consumed took the food outside by herself). Trying to cheat people and tourists is a typical example of how not to manage a business. The gentleman without hair (perhaps this is better) compared himself to a restaurant where it is mandatory to pay for service costs. First, talk among yourselves, maybe you can come out better.

The best gluten-free bread I have ever tasted! A must-stop during a trip to Puglia, we specifically stopped in Bari to go to Colibrio and to make my daughter happy. Puglia is a paradise for celiacs.

We went out for an aperitif last night. The staff was polite but the service left a lot to be desired. We waited about half an hour to get two miserable platters with a couple of stale focaccias (one was so hard I couldn't even take a bite), a small bruschetta, and very little else. Given the waiting times, we drank 2 flutes of prosecco each. Total cost 26 euros!!! Incredible! I would say you can find much better with little effort. Just one star given.

Colibrìo is a certainty for us celiacs; they have everything Gluten-free. It is wonderful to enter a place where you find the counter full of delights, both sweet and savory, all gluten-free. From focaccia to krapfen, it is delicious. You can also have a tasty aperitif. As seen in the photos, Colibrìo is a temple for us celiacs and I highly recommend it to everyone.

I ordered a pain au chocolat, unfortunately, it wasn’t as flaky as I would have expected from this type of product; however, it was a great dessert, similar to a brioche. The savory options were very good; I tried a piece of rustic quiche and a single-serving tart. All for €7.50. There's also the possibility of having an aperitif. Cons: There are very few seats both inside and outside; I had to take away and eat on a bench. It might be better to book in advance.

A suggestive place on the main street of Bari. As a regular customer, from the pastry shop to the rotisserie, it's a true delight for the palate. What can I say about Colibrio... It is a FANTASTIC PLACE. A workshop that does it all: from sweets to savory dishes to baked goods. In addition to the possibility of eating at tables, it also has a shop for selling products approved by the ASL. Highly recommended.

It is a wonderful place for those like me who suffer from food intolerances such as lactose and gluten. Here you really find everything from sandwiches, savory pastries, panzerotti, to sweets, croissants, aperitifs, and so on... In short, the only one, if not one of the few, to offer all this and to be specialized for intolerant people. The staff is always kind, and the prices are great for the variety and quality of the products they offer. I hope they can add more products and choices to their menus, maybe even with vegan options. I highly recommend it!

We were in this bar before the lockdown. We waited an exact hour for two coffees, sitting at the table, while watching all the other customers (most of whom arrived later) being served. Only after our prompt did they remember to serve us. Terrible service and absolutely unprofessional! Never waited so long for a coffee.
