A local with a lot of staff serving dishes from Apulian cuisine and more generally from Italian cuisine, starting from quality ingredients and the catch of the day. You can find mussels, the small Taranto ones; fish caught by the boats which do not have an asterisk on the menu indicating they are frozen; a wider selection of fish and vegetables compared to other restaurants. Pizzas are also prepared, both for lunch and dinner, with a gluten-free alternative. The portions are significantly generous and definitely not gourmet; they deserve the label of homemade. The tables are arranged in successive rooms connected by convenient openings. The walls are filled with framed photographs that remind of the presence of artists who, once the performance at the theater is over, stop to eat at this restaurant. The waiters, whose uniforms bear their own names, are very kind and serve customers professionally.

I must admit that I liked almost everything about this place. The management, the staff, of course, and especially the food. They handled the need for gluten-free dishes for my daughter without any problem, which doesn't always happen. They also brilliantly passed the challenge posed by my wife, whose complex intolerances filter out any pre-cooked or industrial food. In short, it's a shame we were just passing through, otherwise it would certainly be a favored destination for us. Honest prices, in my area fresh fish of that quality costs even more per kilo than it does cooked here. If we pass through Taranto again, we will definitely visit them again.
