Great structure with typical Irpinian cuisine, including gluten-free pasta dishes and quality grilled meat. Friendly staff, zero-kilometer local products, good selection of raw materials, excellent dish preparation by experienced chefs, and a good wine list. Average waiting times for a usually full clientele with selective guests. One recommendation I can make is the lack of background music for a better ambiance, very limited appetizers, and slightly high prices for the Fiorentina, plus the entrecôte arrived cold and was cut at the table, which my friend didn't appreciate. But overall, a great little tavern. For gluten-free options, fried dishes are missing, which should be included for clients with food intolerance needs.

I return after a year due to territorial restrictions, and coming from Naples, I am not from the San Michele di Serino area, but I highly recommend it for those who reside nearby. It is easily reachable from Naples via the highway, exit Avellino west towards Serino, about an hour's drive. Great dining, quality ingredients, very professional chef, typical Irpinia cuisine dishes with good pairings. To sweeten the wait, they offer ricotta and fried meatballs. For appetizers, I recommend a mixed platter with very good aged cheeses and cold cuts. For first courses, I suggest ravioli both with ancient ragù and with gorgonzola, chestnut honey, and almonds. For generous portions, I recommend fettuccine with lard and walnuts, or candele with ancient ragù, or paccheri alla genovese. For my celiac son, I ordered gluten-free fusilli with lard and walnuts. For grilled meat, various cuts, excellent Fiorentina and scottona, very tender and tasty meats. For sides, I recommend ashes potatoes and peppers with honey. Excellent wine list, on the advice of the owner Giovanni, who is very helpful and friendly, I drank an Aglianico Stefania Barbot ION Campi Taurasini DOC 2017 Irpinia, very structured and full-bodied, ideal for pairing with cheese and grilled meat. Very good desserts, berry and strawberry cheesecake, tiramisu, cups of strawberries. The menu also includes other dishes; these are some that I recommend. I might have liked some variation for the first and second courses, some innovation, being a traditional menu offered already last year, but everything was delicious, and it’s always nice to return to this restaurant, prices are average, high quality, and a guarantee of good food. Table service is average, staff are friendly and quick. I recommend booking in advance. Guaranteed experience for lovers of good typical Irpinia cuisine. Rustic location in the city center but quite peaceful, also ideal for families, spacious external area cool and airy with just the right breeze; some tables were sunny due to the influx for Mother’s Day, but it's enough to request it when booking for those who want an outdoor table in the shade. For coffee, I recommend a more intense blend; the one I had was very light. I liked the amaro del capo, but it wasn’t cold enough as it should be served. Overall, great experience, a commendation to the owners for maintaining high-quality standards despite the current restrictive issues.
