As someone with celiac disease, finding places I can truly trust is everything — and Chalk Gluten Free Bakery has become one of those rare places for me. I’ve been to the Calle de La Pau location countless times and have never gotten sick. I genuinely trust them with my life. The bakery always has a wonderful variety of fresh options, and everything feels thoughtfully made and safe. Beyond the food itself, the customer service is exceptional. Rose, who helped me during my last visit, was absolutely lovely. As someone currently learning Spanish but still primarily speaking English, I really appreciated her kindness and patience. Unlike many places in Spain where communication can feel intimidating, she happily spoke with me in both Spanish and English and made me feel completely comfortable. Her warmth and professionalism genuinely made my day. Highly recommend for anyone with celiac disease or anyone simply looking for an incredible gluten-free bakery in Valencia.

As a gluten-free couple, Chök Pau was the very first place we went to after arriving in Valencia. Based on reviews, it’s basically the mecca of 100% gluten-free sweets — and it did not disappoint. The selection of rolls, cookies, and cheesecakes is incredible, and everything we tried was insanely good. We had the passion fruit roll, the pistachio roll, and a pecan cookie — all a solid 10/10 😍 Everything was so delicious that we later stopped by their other location opposite Mercado Central and had to grab another cookie. One small note: the coffee is capsule-based, so if you’re into specialty coffee, you’re better off grabbing coffee elsewhere (which is easy, they’re everywhere). But when it comes to gluten-free rolls and cookies, there’s nothing better in the city. For sweets it’s strongly recommended!

Stopped by chök for coffee and tried the Roll Pistachio Premium — and wow. The coffee was smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced, not too bitter and not overly acidic. Exactly what you want to pair with something sweet. The Roll Pistachio Premium was the real highlight. Super soft and fluffy dough, generously topped with creamy pistachio frosting and crunchy pistachio pieces. It wasn’t overly sweet — just the right balance, with a deep, nutty flavor that actually tastes like real pistachio. You can tell it’s made with quality ingredients. Great cozy vibe inside as well. Definitely coming back to try more. Highly recommend if you’re a pistachio lover!

My girlfriend is gluten-free and everything was perfect! Focaccia and cookies were great. There are also several vegan options, and thus lactose-free. A must-visit for gluten-free people in Valencia!

The selection of desserts is not very wide, especially for vegan options, which are few, but really delicious.

Everything was delicious, I ordered a pistachio rookie and it was exquisite. A special mention for the girl Aldana who served me, super nice and friendly!

We had breakfast and a snack in this pastry shop. Really fabulous. The desserts were delicious, you would never guess they were gluten-free and lactose-free. They were truly good. The only drawbacks are the few seating places and the prices. I found some prices really exaggerated, 9€ for a single portion cheesecake. It’s worth it anyway.
