Sublime quality, with a wide variety of flavors. Unfortunately, the place uses cones with gluten, so you need to indicate that you are celiac. They pay a lot of attention at that point.

Since you cannot add more than one review, I modified mine to respond to the defamatory comment of the employees of Nonna Elsa. Pt.1 This is my personal experience; I was not served due to my allergy to nuts. This has never happened to me before. I was told that management decided not to serve allergic customers because they cannot guarantee safety. I have never encountered this in smaller places (where I could understand more, given that their revenues might not allow for the same standards as a chain) and instead, I found this in a very important chain widespread in the area with several outlets. Allergies are very common today, and this chain—the only ice cream shop in town where I am anyway (at least if there were another one to go to)—has chosen to remove the possibility for people like me to enjoy their ice cream. I thought the food service was meant to bring joy to all people and not just to focus on profit. I could understand if it were a single shop that, due to certain difficulties, cannot ensure certain standards. This is definitely not the case. Absurd. Pt.2 This is part two in response to that given by the staff of Nonna Elsa, which frankly is quite laughable. I think it is very easy and derogatory to respond to a comment by calling it a "revenge review." Moreover, there was nothing to wait for because I had warned that I would let you know my thoughts. That said, it is useless for you to talk about craftsmanship because it involves very simple precautions, such as having the ability to make ice cream for allergic and/or intolerant customers and setting it aside. This is what chains of your importance do; I find it shameful that you have not yet provided for this. Because it has been this way for a long time, already one year. Furthermore, there was a time you served me anyway (so much for the luck I would have in other places). It’s not about luck but about frequenting places that care about consumers (about all consumers), unlike you who are worried about responding to the review while trying to make me seem like a clueless person that goes around trying their luck every time they eat ice cream. I believe it’s easy to do this, whereas the truth is that other shops—even smaller than you in terms of brand expansion—with excellent quality ice creams (yours is also of excellent quality, I’m not denying it; the time you served it to me, it was very good. My family, who visits often, can certainly confirm this). So please, I ask you to focus less on derogatory reviews from dissatisfied consumers and more on providing meaningful experiences for unfortunate customers like me. Also because the number of allergic individuals increases year by year, so besides being sad, as I said, it’s also embarrassing. Pt.3 I add further details that should make you reflect since it seems that even the staff of Nonna Elsa continues to do so. Firstly, the intervention on the chain is misleading because you are a chain. This is beyond discussion. What you want to say at most is that you do not have a traditional fast-food production chain. And that would be something! After that, as a chain, I repeat, it is embarrassing that you do not take care of all of your potential consumers. But I add again, that if your desire is to be attentive to everyone and to make everyone feel that your ice cream is good (because it is, like many others, you are not on the same level as Portugal, which pays attention to allergies, makes 'artisan' ice cream, and is not a chain but makes phenomenal ice cream). For celiacs (it is very dangerous to give unsafe food to them), it is only right to ask how safety is ensured when many measures are the same as those for which you do not serve allergic customers. Bah, I think you have work to do! As an ice cream shop attentive to allergens, I recommend Galateia (not a large ice cream shop like the company owning Nonna Elsa, it has delicious ice cream and will definitely go far).

Saying it's a spectacular ice cream is very reductive. I don’t agree with those reviews that mention a high price. I would say that the price is fairly in line with other ice cream parlors, and the quality is noticeable and worth paying for. I discovered this place because it’s part of the Aic circuit, and honestly, I’m happy to travel even 50 km just to see my wife happy because there is a wide variety of gluten-free flavors that you struggle to find in other ice cream parlors.

Very kind and friendly staff. They helped me find flavors that I could eat as a lactose intolerant person. I noticed particular care in managing celiac customers, so my friend after years was able to enjoy an ice cream.

Are you in the mood to spend an evening with friends but forgot dessert? Are you feeling a bit low and need a pick-me-up? Then Nonna Elsa is the neighborhood ice cream parlor for you! The ice cream, strictly artisanal (they offer new flavors based on the season... I've tried pumpkin and mandarin ice cream... all fantastic!). The place is located in a convenient and central area, it’s bright, spacious, clean, and welcoming. The staff at the counter is always smiling and ready to meet any request! Their specialty? It’s hard to choose, but my favorite is definitely Honolulu (white chocolate, wafer, and coconut), a concentrate of goodness. They also have a wide selection of granitas, semifreddos, and ice cream sandwiches. They also offer home delivery service. The quality-price ratio is more than good, considering the goodness of the product (cone/cup of 2 flavors €2.70, €19.00 per kg). They have a wide offer of lactose-free and gluten-free ice creams. Highly recommended!
