A must-visit if the idea of delicious gluten-free donuts and pizza makes you drool! The vibe of this cafe near Hiroshima Airport, in the hills north of Takehara's historical preservation district, is stylish but chill, with some nice tables outside overlooking the surrounding rice fields (I made a note to return in spring when the sakura is in blossom). As well as gluten-free, they serve a tasty vegan pizza with a thick tomato sauce that pairs well with the rice-flour pizza base, and several of their donuts are also 100% vegan.

It’s less than one hour drive from central Hiroshima, you’ll find yourself in a peaceful countryside surrounded by nature🥰 They offer 6–7 vegan and gluten-free donuts, along with some vegetarian options that are also gluten-free. Their spiced drinks are absolutely delicious! There are three vegetarian pizzas and one vegan pizza. I tried the vegan one and it was amazing! You can choose to sit inside or outside when the weather is nice ☀️ They make a real effort to use local ingredients whenever possible, and their whole concept is beautifully sustainable. There’s also a lovely guesthouse behind the cafe — I’m already looking forward to staying there on my next visit!

Saw recommendations for doughnuts made with rice flour in a gluten free travel group for the Hiroshima Station. I have NCGS (non-celiac gluten sensitivity) with fibromyalgia, so I immediately had to try these. We went immediately after arriving in Hiroshima Station. They had an assortment of flavors available in both fermented and non-fermented options. They were beautiful to look at. I had all fermented donuts - the texture of the donut was just the right amount of chewy and not at all dry or cakey. I had to get 2 more as a snack before getting back on the train at the end of the day. My spouse did try an old fashioned (non-fermented) donut and while it was drier (like it says on their website) he still didn't find it as crumbly as we've learned to expect from GF foods. I hope we will get lucky enough to get donuts like these near my home in the states some day.
