Restaurant of the certified AIC hotel. Almost the entire menu is available gluten-free. I had dinner there. Tried the appetizer, main dish, sides, and dessert. The courses were of high quality with remarkable flavors and aromas, especially the main fish dish. Impeccable service in the dining room, and the recommended wine was excellent. The only note was the dessert. Both I and the other diner had the "cannolata", I in the gluten-free version, the other in the normal version. While the normal version was rated excellent, especially for the ricotta, the gluten-free version was not memorable: the cannoli shell was soft and the ricotta too dense (perhaps the dessert had been frozen?). Very nice location. The bill was high, but proportionate to the quality of the dishes, the location, and the service.

My wife and I took a vacation in Sicily, staying 5 days at this hotel. It is a beautiful structure, facing the sea, in Ortigia, in the center of Syracuse. The room was truly elegant, comfortable, and spacious. The breakfast offered a wide choice of fresh, high-quality products. We also used the restaurant for dinner and were very satisfied. In particular, my wife, who is celiac, was always able to enjoy tasty dishes without any worries, actually with great satisfaction. A special mention goes to the staff, ready, helpful, and extremely kind, but also with the right dose of human warmth. If we were to return to Syracuse, we would definitely come back to Algilà.
