Freedom Lounge Bakery was one of the best discoveries of our stay in Turin. The location is really strategic, just a few steps from Piazza San Carlo, perfect for a break during a visit to the historic center. We had breakfast here in a group consisting of both celiacs and non-celiacs, and we were all very satisfied. As a celiac, I can say that I found one of the best gluten-free croissants I've ever eaten in Italy: well-laminated, fragrant, soft, and truly rich in flavor. A product that doesn't make you miss the traditional one. Since breakfast had won us over, after our visit to the nearby Egyptian Museum, we returned for lunch. The savory dishes were equally up to expectations. A place I recommend without hesitation, both for celiacs and non-celiacs. Excellent quality, friendly staff, a very convenient location, and an offer that encourages you to return.

We took 2 tartlets and 2 zeppoles, filled with cream, to take home. They were really excellent. We wanted to save the zeppoles for breakfast the next day, but we couldn't resist.

Very negative experience, to be avoided unless there is a change of staff. Overall wasted time: about 50 minutes—25 minutes for the first line at the cash register, 15 minutes for the second line at the cash register, and another 10 minutes waiting at the table for a half-burnt focaccia and a fruit juice. I will tell my experience as objectively as possible; personal opinions are mentioned at the end. My Experience My girlfriend and I, after about 25 minutes in line for the cash register, book a table for four, as two other friends would arrive shortly after. We are correctly informed that if they do not arrive within ten minutes, we would be moved to a table for two. I order a Margherita focaccia and a fruit juice; my girlfriend would order later with the others, to eat together. After about ten minutes, the orders arrive. The juice is packaged, so nothing to say. The focaccia, however, had been cut in two: one half was acceptable, the other completely burnt, as evident from the photo. I thus point this out to the waiter. His reaction was to ask me compulsively—four times in a row, even talking over me—if I had chosen that piece of focaccia. I replied that I do not remember and that, in any case, the burn was probably not visible at the time of selection (the focaccias were not fully exposed). Furthermore, given how hot it was, I do not rule out the possibility that it was heated too long, burning subsequently, a hypothesis the waiter dismissed without consideration. Beyond this, I simply point out that it is unacceptable to serve a focaccia in that condition. I am told that they would bring me another one. No one ever returned, nor was I informed, or offered an alternative, something I would have greatly appreciated. After another 15 minutes of waiting, I decide to go pay, facing another 15 minutes in line (due to the management system of the place). No apologies, no discount proposals. The cashier, having no change, gives me 50 cents more, but with clear reluctance. Personal Opinions 1) Staff: Unacceptable behavior: rude, unprepared, and unprofessional. If I were the owner I would seriously reassess part of the staff. 2) Environment and food quality: The place is nice, and the idea of offering gluten-free products is positive. The non-burnt half of the focaccia was just decent, far from being called good. 3) Management and payment system: The system seems designed to waste the time of those consuming on-site. Endless lines and inefficient organization. Seeing the staff's responses to negative comments, I do not expect any apologies even now. Once in a while, accept criticism without the need to justify yourselves to save face; it would be honorable!

We had a millefeuille with cream and chantilly cream in this completely gluten-free pastry shop, and it was a true surprise! The cake was delicious, with a light and perfectly balanced chantilly cream, but the real star was the cream: simply spectacular, fluffy, and with an authentic taste. It’s rare to find gluten-free desserts that are this good, both in texture and flavor. You can feel the care and quality of the ingredients. Absolutely recommended, we will definitely be back! 🎂

The gluten-free pizza by the slice was very good. For dessert, I have eaten in 100% gluten-free pastry shops that are even better. Overall, however, the dough and the softness of the pizza met my expectations very well.

Absolutely everything is wonderful!! A dream for us celiacs!! The brioche with cream... crunchy, with lots of delicious cream... the biscuits, the buns, the pizza... all flavors I hadn't tasted in years.. A real pastry shop, with finally normal prices!!! The focaccia was really good, and we tried the Sacher, which was also incredible. The service was good, although since we went on the weekend, there was a bit of confusion, but the staff was very kind and helpful.

Lovely little find in Turin with really friendly and helpful staff. We came here twice, once for breakfast and once for lunch. Everything is gluten free but you wouldn’t know it from the taste and texture. Not exactly sure what pastry we had but it was light and airy with lots of cream/ custard-like filling. So delicious. They charge by weight (€18/kg), and the two large pastries came to around €8. For lunch we split 2 slices of focaccia and a feta salad. The staff are really helpful and brought everything to the table for us.

Coffees and cappuccinos are very good, the pastries a bit too doughy and not filled enough, but overall good. You can request different types of milk for cappuccinos. They accept Satispay.

I stumbled upon this bar while looking for an alternative place to have an aperitif since I’m gluten intolerant and unfortunately, it’s still not easy to find a suitable place for me/us. The venue is welcoming, the staff is friendly (a bit slow but they also have to manage the bakery-pastry sales). It’s fantastic to enter a place and not have to worry about starting to do a research and selection based on what you can't eat. You’re inside and you can choose everything that you like and want to eat. We tried both sweet and savory, we were fascinated by the focaccia, but we also liked the pizzas a lot. The bugie, baci di dama, and fresh pastries were also delicious. I have nothing more to say except highly recommended! WE NEED MORE PLACES LIKE THIS IN THE CITY!

Freedom is great! A must-try. If you have gluten issues, this is the right place. It ranges from sweet to savory and I recommend trying the panettone... what a wonder. Nothing like the gluten-free Bauli. This panettone is handmade by them and fragrant and delicious. You know what you're eating. It may cost more, but the flavor is worth it. Cakes, cheesecakes, sacher, pizza, fresh and dry pastries, and savory pies. The best part is that the sweet dishes are sweet without being cloying. The place located in the center offers a small indoor space, and I know (but haven't seen) that there is also seating outside. Give it a try, you won't regret it.
