A pleasant discovery in Montepulciano. A place located in a small alley, with very friendly and knowledgeable staff about gluten-free options. I tried an eggplant cake and the pici with Tuscan ragù, amazing. They also brought me some really good gluten-free bread. Highly recommended!

a very very nice experience, very kind staff who are very honest in saying that there is no contamination 0 but they are very careful. Note: in Montepulciano there are no places with separate kitchens, so contamination 0 is not possible unless you move. For the first time, I tried pici with ragù and I must say they were exceptional; I’ll also leave you the photo.

I am celiac, and finding pici and gluten-free bread is really a rare thing! Everything is delicious!!! The pici are great, and the tripe is spectacular... congratulations, I will definitely come back.

“Gluten free? Not your problem. Our problem.” I’ve never encountered in such hospitality! Not to mention that the food was amazing and delicious, and safe! My husband, who isn’t gluten intolerant, enjoyed himself greatly as well. In conclusion: highly recommend, to everyone and to coeliac people especially.

We had lunch at this restaurant with my boyfriend and we left really enthusiastic! The place is very nice, well-kept in details, and with a welcoming atmosphere. What makes it even more special is the family management: the owner is very friendly and kind, and even the son, despite his young age, proved to be extremely skilled and professional. We ordered pici with garlic and pici cacio e pepe, both handmade and gluten-free: simply amazing! I had never eaten such good pici, perfect in texture and flavor. They also brought us some bread - both with gluten and without - and there too a surprise: the schiacciata (with gluten) with tomato and oregano won over my boyfriend, while my gluten-free bread was fresh, crunchy, and delicious (a rarity for Gluten Free bread, we celiacs know this well). Of course, the obligatory 'scarpetta'! Then we tasted a delicious pecorino tart with pear jam, also gluten-free: delicate, tasty, perfectly balanced in flavors. To conclude, my boyfriend had the ricotta, pear, and chocolate tart, which he described as "amazing." The only gluten-free alternative among the desserts was panna cotta. I highly recommend this restaurant to both those who eat gluten and especially to those who are celiac: the variety of gluten-free options is remarkable and, even more importantly, they pay great attention to contamination, which is a fundamental aspect. The quality-price ratio is absolutely fair. When we return to Montepulciano, a stop at Briciola will be a must!

Beautiful couple experience at Briciola. Courteous and well-prepared staff, also knowledgeable about gluten-free dishes. We tasted two really tasty gluten-free appetizers and then ordered two first courses. The gluten-free pici are truly fabulous, and we also recommend the pici al cocciaccio, which are the restaurant's highlight. We will be back gladly! Highly recommended!!!
