Great agriturismo, set in green surroundings just a few kilometers from Terracina, perfect for a break from the sea. I visited for the first time and found a good structure, ample parking, easily accessible, spacious outdoor and indoor seating, rustic decor, complete with a fireplace, brazier with coals, and an oven for delicious pizzas and focaccia. For the cuisine, the mixed appetizer was excellent with various platters of cold cuts, cheeses, and local dishes like peppers, bruschetta, chicory and beans, and meatballs in sauce; the burrata with crostini and spicy diced salami was wonderful. For the first courses, the fresh pasta was excellent; I particularly enjoyed the strozzapreti with zucchini, zucchini flowers, and guanciale—perhaps a bit too much crispy guanciale that was slightly salty, a little less would have been more balanced. The gluten-free fettuccine with carbonara and the scialatielli with trapanese pesto and arugula sauce were also good. Then for the grilled meat, we had a good entrecote and a bone-in sashi fillet, very tender and tasty, although the temperature was a bit low; even though it was grilled, a cast iron plate would have helped maintain the heat, and with the dining room being full, the service was a bit slow— the young waitresses were not very attentive, but the manager, who is the owner's wife, was friendly and very helpful. On Saturdays, some discomfort can occur with a large clientele. For wine, I had a simple yet pleasant Primo Scuro Cannonau from Mesa winery; the wine list was still extensive with good options. For dessert, a caramel cheesecake, which was nice, and a Fernet Branca amaro for digestif. I will definitely return; I recommend it for its excellent value for money. The location and typical dining areas are great for families and groups, but it may not be very romantic for couples due to the noise, especially from children. I think it may be quieter during the week. It's worth a try; the Verardi family is professional and has a long-standing history in Terracina. Kudos to Simone for his entrepreneurial project!
