Please do not confuse vegetables or meat with gluten-free options. My greengrocer does not have gluten-free options, he has vegetables. Gluten-free options are pasta, possibly more formats, pizza, bread, appetizers, and dessert. Let's try to post places that can help us, otherwise we are wasting time.

The entrepreneurial spirit of the owners is admirable, as they have expanded their hospitality and restaurant business alongside their main oil mill operations. A charming location amidst hills covered in olive groves and vineyards, a bit difficult to reach due to the narrow, but otherwise paved, roads. Rustic and basic outdoor tables. Simple and courteous management, albeit with some uncertainties in the service. Very ordinary food, typical of a family dinner in the countryside. The orecchiette with turnips are good, the bruschetta is decent, as long as you quickly eliminate the trendy arugula, which has nothing to do with it. A minus for the French fries, too soft and soaked in oil (though it's a good oil), and the troccoli are good. The main courses are forgettable: the beef rib was too sticky, even though it was ordered rare, the grilled lamb was very grilled, and not enough lamb, in the sense that the burnt parts made the little meat on the bone inedible. Grilled vegetables are taken directly from the stock used to top the vegetable pizzas, without even attempting to heat them up to at least simulate a grilling session. Ignore the chilled local red wine. On a positive note, they cater to those who need to eat gluten-free. The price isn't excessive, but perhaps the quality and service could be improved, even if the price were adjusted slightly.

Family-run place, very characteristic. Staff very kind and attentive, even for gluten-free options; I have 2 celiac children and they made us some very good potatoes on the spot, in addition to the bruschetta as an appetizer. I recommend the orecchiette (with gluten) with turnip tops alla viestana. The house white wine is also good. We also did an oil tasting; in my opinion, the 'traditional' is very good. We bought 4 cans of 5 L each.

I have been to Vieste 4 times over the years, and among all the restaurants I have tried so far, this is by far THE BEST. We were amazed from the appetizers to the dessert. Food of the highest quality and well served (both meat and fish). Very friendly and professional staff, all in a very quiet, picturesque, and well-maintained location. Highly recommended, a must-have for anyone coming to Vieste. P.S.: Also very suitable for celiacs, they can prepare almost all dishes gluten-free. Beware of other negative reviews (one) I read this evening; if someone can't wait 10-15 minutes for a meal, they don't deserve to come to a restaurant of this level 👎🏻

A very beautiful and welcoming place. The staff are very nice and friendly. There is a wide selection of gluten-free options, from appetizers to desserts. The food is of excellent quality, but as a dessert lover, I must say the cheesecake was truly exquisite! Really, compliments!
