I went back to this trattoria after a couple of years. The venue and the owners are fantastic and accommodating. There are several gluten-free options, and there is no risk of contamination since they are AIC certified. The portions are generous, perhaps excessively so because the dish is also very seasoned. The fried ricotta is good; I recommend it!

Upon the advice of a local colleague, we went to dinner with eleven people at Nonna Lilia's trattoria, known for its Salento-style appearance and cuisine, located in the historic center of Galatina. To start, we ordered excellent mixed fried appetizers, including meatballs, croquettes, and pittule of various flavors (spicy, with vegetables, traditional, and dulcis in fundo stracciatella and mortadella), all cooked to a crispy and dry perfection. The first courses, quite abundant, feature various types of pasta from classic Orecchiette with pepper cream, sausage, and spicy provola cheese shavings to Troccoli with smashed tomatoes, capers, anchovies, and celline olives. There is also the option to order gluten-free. For the main courses, the standout is the Pezzetti di Cavallo alla Pignata. With three bottles of rosé MadreTerra, the friendliness and availability of the staff made us very satisfied, spending only 25€ per person.
