In the heart of the historic center of Trieste, on via di Cavana – a lively area rich in characteristic venues – Hops Beerstró stands out for its fusion offerings, cozy atmosphere, and selection of craft beers. I chose a Hibiscus Blanche: beautiful to see with its pink color, but especially pleasant to drink, with a sweet and slightly aromatic flavor. For sharing appetizers, we ordered crispy and spicy falafel and Cajun-mixed fries, which were really delightful. The staff were very accommodating and attentive to allergies and intolerances, which I greatly appreciated. For the main course, I had the Crispy Coco Lime Chicken: chicken thigh marinated in coconut milk and lime, fried in crunchy panko. The dish was accompanied by a Japanese miso mayonnaise, but at my request, they replaced it with the classic version. The fresh touch of scallions completed it all beautifully. For dessert, we tried a coconut milk panna cotta with berry coulis – delicate, lactose-free, and gluten-free – and a delicious chocolate dessert with caramel and peanuts, perfect for those who love intense flavors. An ideal place for an informal yet refined dinner, where the cuisine is a meeting of different cultures. Friendly staff, well-prepared dishes, absolutely positive experience. Highly recommended!
