After Verona, New York, Rome, and Florence, the Melotti family also opens in the historic center of Milan, just a short walk from the beautiful Navigli!

For lovers of good rice and for those seeking a completely gluten-free culinary experience, Risotteria Melotti is the perfect destination. It's not just a gluten-free option, but a place where the entire menu is based on rice sourced from the family rice mill and its derivatives. The environment is welcoming and well-kept, with the possibility of purchasing the company's rice-based products. Not cheap.

A restaurant in the Navigli area, easily accessible by public transport. It's less than a 10-minute walk from the tram and metro stop. The food is delicious; I tried the risotto with Amarone and the one with saffron and braised meat, both very good (for personal taste, I preferred the first one). For the appetizer, we had fried gnocco with cured meat, small but tasty and well-fried. While waiting, they served rice cakes with pepper; if you're not a fan of pepper, don't eat them, and a truly good rice focaccia. To finish, we couldn't skip dessert, a lovely brownie with caramel and hazelnut crunch, AMAZING! As a gluten intolerant, I must say everything was excellent.

We stumbled upon this place in the Porta Genova area, driven by the desire to eat something special, and our expectations were greatly exceeded. The restaurant is very nice, meticulously curated in the details, with a welcoming atmosphere that puts you at ease immediately. The menu is entirely dedicated to rice: a true oasis for those with celiac disease and for anyone who loves this versatile ingredient. We tried several risottos, all characterized by intense flavors, creative pairings, and impeccable cooking. The desserts also deserve a special mention.

A very welcoming restaurant in the Navigli area, owned by an ancient family-run rice company. We chose the proposed menu with an appetizer of arancini, two half portions of rice as a first course, and a rice sbrisolona as dessert accompanied by zabaglione cream. The lunch was exceptional, both for the quality offered and the price. The dishes were very tasty, and the fact that the menu (including bread at the table) was ALL gluten-free is the icing on the cake, being a celiac. The next time I am in Milan, I will definitely return because I was truly happy. Highly recommended.

Beautiful restaurant in the style of a grandmother's house in the countryside near the Navigli area. Great for celiacs. The purple rice wasn't particularly flavorful, with the lemon flavor overpowering everything else; the cod was good, as was the dessert.
