A truly fantastic experience! ❤️ As a celiac, finding a place where I could eat so well and in total peace is a real joy. The fried dishes were simply exquisite, the pizza really top-notch, and everything was taken care of in the smallest details. A special shout-out to the welcome: Maria, the girl who served us, was professional, kind, and very friendly, making the evening even more enjoyable. Congratulations to all the staff! A restaurant I absolutely recommend and where I will gladly return.

delicious food. recommend. pasta, really good fried foods
5
amazing gluten-free food recommended for everyone
5
We had the chance to taste the first courses and they are really good. The rest of the menu is completely gluten-free (everything is also available with gluten). Well-prepared and organized staff.
3
carbonara a bit mediocre but wide selection.
5
100 with honors
5
Really great chain for traditional Roman dishes
5
a varied and complete gluten-free menu, and everything is really good!
5
Very good pizza and fried food.
5
A place where celiacs feel like everyone else... and I've said it all!!
5
The food was delicious. Everything on the menu can be prepared gluten-free, as they have a separate kitchen, which made us feel completely safe and comfortable. The atmosphere was pleasant and inviting, and the service was kind and prompt. A wonderful experience overall!
5
everything is very good, fruits, pizzas, and gluten-free pasta
5
We booked immediately, without any issues, and found a very welcoming environment. The food is delicious, with a wide variety of gluten-free options. Maria, from the staff, was very kind and accompanied us throughout the evening, with discretion, friendliness, and professionalism. We will come back!

Great discovery in the heart of Trastevere. I tried the pizza and it was an excellent experience: light dough, high crust, and high-quality ingredients. Strengths: • Inclusive cuisine: The extra touch is the total attention to gluten-free (they have two separate kitchens), maintaining an identical quality to traditional. • Atmosphere: Cozy and lively place, perfect for breathing in the air of the neighborhood without falling into the classic "tourist trap." • Service: Very polite, attentive, and quick staff despite the place being full. Fair value for money for the area and the goodness of the raw materials. A certainty if you are looking for a well-made pizza in Trastevere.
5
Wonderful atmosphere and service by our very attentive host Maria. The arancini and pasta were all gluten free and wonderful. We filled up too much on starters so couldn’t fit dessert in but will be back!
5
The reviews do not lie, this is THE place for good gluten free eats in Rome. I had the best gluten free pizza I’ve ever had, I’ll be chasing that high for a while. Honestly, it’s just amazing pizza in general, it doesn’t need the qualifier of “good for gf”. Our server Aurelia was great, she talked my husband into getting a gf pizza as well so that I could safely try it haha. He couldn’t tell any kind of a difference in taste or texture. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience, and my only regret is that I didn’t have the time in our visit to come here more than once!
5
Wonderful experience here. Maria was wonderfully patient and knowledgeable. I appreciate how personable she was with everyone, especially my 4 year old. This was my favourite meal in Italy as a person with celiac disease. I’m incredibly impressed with the taste and texture of the gluten free food. We will be back again before we go back home!
5
We have already had lunch here twice, and I can confidently say this is one of the best places in Rome if you are looking for gluten-free food. They have two separate kitchens, so all dishes can be prepared either regular or gluten-free, which gives a real sense of safety and peace of mind. The gluten-free pizza here is the best I have ever had in my life — absolutely outstanding! I would also like to especially thank the staff for their incredible hospitality and care. Our waitresses Maria and Natalia — thank you so much! You truly made our visits special, and thanks to you we felt very welcome and looked after. We will definitely come back, and highly recommend this place to everyone visiting Rome!
4
it is always a guarantee of goodness and quality. here the beauty is that the standards are inverted, mainly it is gluten-free, everything else comes after. 🫶
4
Wide selection of gluten-free products throughout their menu. Good and tasty food. Recommended.
5
Very good and plentiful food. The dining staff is very professional and friendly, a greeting to Maria, an exceptional waitress. Rustic and informal environment, typical of Trastevere. Trattoria suitable for food intolerances, in our case: gluten and lactose. Recommended place.
5
Great experience! Well-kept and welcoming place in Trastevere. The staff is available and very friendly. Superlative experience for gluten-free cuisine: their pasta and potatoes are creamy and light! The same goes for the gluten-free tiramisu, recommended with pistachio. 🔝
5
The entire menu offers gluten-free options. Friendly and helpful staff, fast service. I had my first gluten-free Cacio e Pepe, it was delicious!
5
The place is very nice and welcoming. The staff is courteous and available, always smiling and ready. The food is very good, all gluten free. The fried pizza is top. Also the price, considering the location, is excellent. Being small, I recommend booking, especially on Friday and Saturday nights. Parking is a bit complicated, better to stay out of the alleys and take the opportunity to walk around Trastevere.
5
I came here with some friends to eat, and we had a great time. Being celiac, I ate gluten-free food, and it was really good and well-made. I was surprised by the wide choice of options for celiacs available here (practically the whole menu has gluten-free variations); I recommend it to anyone with a gluten allergy or intolerance. The atmosphere was very calm. The waitress Maria served us during dinner; she was very nice and skilled in attending to us. (THANK YOU SO MUCH♡) Highly recommended place.

A true delight for those with celiac disease!
5
A true joy for celiacs!
5
Excellent location! Everything is truly of the highest level!
5
Excellent food, gluten-free fried pizza very good. Impeccable service, especially Maria: very kind and friendly.
5
We had dinner at this restaurant for the first time in the heart of Trastevere. A pleasant discovery. Gluten-free food and lactose-free options for all dishes, very good pizza, quiet atmosphere, and kind staff. Exquisite pistachio tiramisu! 🤩Highly recommended!

5/5 Stars - An Oasis for Celiacs in Rome! I visited this restaurant with my son and a friend with her daughter. I am a celiac, and I must say it was an incredible experience! The menu offers a wide choice of typical Roman dishes gluten-free and not, prepared with care and attention. The cuisine really exceeded expectations, each dish was impeccably presented and the taste was simply divine. Our waiter was very kind and helpful, assisting us in choosing the dishes and explaining how they were made. The service was fast and efficient, even though the place was full. There is also the option to charge mobile phones, and it’s just a short walk from St. Peter's Basilica. I tried the gluten-free amatriciana, which was a real success. The portions are super generous, one serving is enough for two! The price is reasonable considering the quality of the food and the service. We were really happy to find a restaurant that offers high-quality gluten-free options and we can only recommend this place to all celiacs and not only! It is an oasis for anyone looking for a tasty and safe meal. *Tip:* Don’t miss the chance to try their typical Roman gluten-free dishes! *Rating:* 5/5 Stars *Price:* €€ (reasonable) *Service:* Excellent *Cuisine:* Outstanding *Atmosphere:* Welcoming *Not recommended for:* No one!

It is always a pleasure to be able to eat in this place! When I'm in Rome and can treat myself to a nice tasty dinner, I always rush to this restaurant. You have the opportunity to eat really excellent gluten-free dishes. The mixed fried items are truly exceptional, with a light and really tasty batter! The amatriciana is my favorite first course, but the pasta with artichokes and bacon is also exceptional ❤️
5
I have been to various restaurants in this chain. The food is always excellent and there is a great variety of choices. In particular, the waiter Ahmed was able to recommend the best dishes. Definitely recommended.
5
Always a reason to return! Service, quality, and friendliness are added to the many dishes available, including gluten-free options! A must-stop when visiting Trastevere!
5
Very nice and welcoming place, very good food with quality products, both gluten-free and with gluten (in the picture, the gluten-free dishes). The attentive and kind staff served us, Maria, who was also very nice and friendly, but the whole staff was! Good prices in relation to the quality, I will return if I have the chance.
5
We ate at this restaurant because one of our friends is gluten intolerant. We found a wide selection of very good food and tried several dishes. Like 2 excellent pistachio pizzas and great gluten-free carbonara pasta. Perfect bolognese pasta. We were served by Ahmed, who was very professional and kind. I recommend this restaurant to everyone, even to those who are gluten intolerant. Go Ahmed, impeccable service!
4
Having a small celiac child, I pay a lot of attention to the restaurants. This is the second time we have eaten at this place without having to change my mind. The staff is attentive and helpful, and there is a complete gluten-free menu with a lot of variety. Typical Roman cuisine and an ideal area for a nice walk afterward.
2
a mix of Roman and Neapolitan tradition. All gluten-free but alas the fried dish I had did not taste good, excessively greasy and the oil a bit used up.
5
As a celiac, highly recommended! Excellent place, welcoming and friendly staff, exquisite food! All dishes on the menu are available gluten-free and lactose-free; the restaurant has two separate kitchens, managing to serve gluten-free dishes alongside those with gluten. A special mention to Aurelia who welcomed and served us, making us feel at home! Attached are photos of the appetizers and the first course; the tiramisu was devoured so quickly that we couldn't take a photo! Truly recommended!
5
Gluten-free and lactose-free lunch was excellent! I had lunch about ten days ago, ordering a cacio e pepe as a first course, a mixed fry, and an arancino, sharing the dishes with my girlfriend. Everything was gluten-free and lactose-free (I am celiac and lactose intolerant), preparation and taste were outstanding! Even the house beer was excellent. The restaurant has a separate kitchen for gluten-free items and prepares all dishes without lactose, even those that contain cheese like cacio e pepe, using aged cheeses. The waiters are friendly and attentive; upon request, they provided us with a doggy bag to save the leftovers. Highly recommended!
4
Locale in Trastevere, abundant dishes some Roman, others influenced by Campania. Wine and desserts are not excellent. They prepare fresh bread. They have their own gluten-free beer. A must-try!!!
5
Welcoming atmosphere and very good Roman dishes, from starters to main courses. The house beer is very good. Friendly staff. Reservation is recommended.
5
among the best in Rome. completely gluten-free menu with 2 separate kitchens. courteous and prepared staff. excellent pizzas, 30 cm arancini, croquettes, and dishes of all kinds.
5
The pasta is delicious and the pizza is excellent. One of the best places in Rome.
5
A true delight... the entire menu is absolutely safe, generous portions, and really nothing is missing; they even have excellent craft beer! We dined with family, and even the "regular" dishes were excellent. Places like this are a treat!!!
5
The entire menu can be replicated gluten-free (we understood that there are two kitchens). Arancini and amatriciana are very good. Good portions.
5
Great location, there is a very wide menu including gluten-free options, and the staff is very attentive and courteous. The food is delicious.
5
Great restaurant in Trastevere. All dishes are available gluten-free and without the risk of contamination. The staff is very kind. The food is excellent.
5
Lovely place, vast choice of gluten-free options, delicious fried food, and excellent light pizza. A reference point.
4
a bit chaotic but great!
4
Eating in presence is a guarantee for gluten-free options. Two kitchens and everyone eats, both Celiacs and non-Celiacs! Of course, being in Trastevere, it is very chaotic, but that is not a downside for everyone. Delivery is less effective but still everything is excellent.
5
One of the most beautiful evenings since I discovered I am celiac. It's a joy to be able to truly experience everything and taste delicious dishes like those with gluten.
5
We decided to have dinner in this little place in Trastevere because it offered the entire menu gluten-free and lactose-free. It was a fantastic discovery, with a vast and varied menu. We had the gluten-free and lactose-free carbonara and amatriciana, and they were amazing—tasted just like normal pasta. Then Maria (the very kind and super helpful waitress) recommended the scugnizelli with hazelnut cream, which was an excellent choice. For sure, when we return to Rome, this will be a regular stop. Finally, a restaurant where attention is paid to contamination (practically nonexistent because there are two kitchens), and where we gluten-intolerant folks can eat just about everything—and everything delicious.
5
The quality of the food goes hand in hand with the quality of the staff. Carmen, the manager, welcomed us with great care, Irene, the girl who served us, was extraordinarily friendly and very attentive to the service (very good). The potato croquettes and gluten-free arancini were outstanding. The pizza, both gluten and gluten-free, was of the highest level. Truly high quality all around and very honest prices. I highly recommend it.
5
My first crunchy gluten-free arancino after 4 years since my celiac disease diagnosis. An amazing fry of calamari and shrimp! Plus, a staff absolutely ready to meet every customer wish immediately. Excellent gastronomic experience.
5
The paradise for celiacs. Gluten-free Neapolitan and Roman menu. Friendly staff who are very attentive to intolerances. We hope it opens in other Italian cities as well; it's one of the few places where we've eaten without the fear of contamination.
4
A very welcoming place in the Trastevere area, with very kind and attentive staff. The entire menu is gluten-free, including the fried dishes. The pizza is very soft and good.
3
The place in Trastevere, another interesting area to visit. A bit disorganized, the waitresses are too hurried. Good food, nothing exceptional, credit for providing gluten-free options. If you're around and it's convenient, you can enjoy a nice plate of pasta, prices are average. Personally, my dish, which was aesthetically well-served in a small pan as you can see in the photo, I found it too greasy. The scugnizzi, pieces of fried pizza, had almost no topping, not worthy of a photo. My companion's amatriciana was good, but again, it had little sauce, so much so that it ran out quickly with the pasta without being able to do the famous 'scarpetta.'
5
In the heart of Trastevere, a welcoming location, clean but above all contamination-proof! Excellent appetizers, Neapolitan pizza, everything perfect! Well-trained staff (double oven like in all the chain locations) and available for all requests! Definitely a place to return to!
5
delicious food, fantastic staff, and a really beautiful location! What can I say! Top!
5
delicious pizza, the best I've ever eaten, very kind staff, good quality.
5
A place immersed in the Trastevere neighborhood, very close to youth venues. The food? Amazing. The entire menu is incredible; the pizzas and gluten-free fritters are really, really good. The "scugnizzelli" are recommended. Well done, well done.
5
I went back several times during my stay because I was so impressed. I am gluten intolerant and tried the croquettes and the cacio e pepe pasta (I still think about it 🤤), then the pizza the second time. I also tasted the abbacchio alla scottadito that my boyfriend ordered. Everything was really tasty. Excellent service and Maria, the waitress, was very kind.
5
Beautiful and exquisite! Wow! The staff is very kind and the food is a dream for all celiacs!! The pasta is delicious, the fried dishes wow, and the pistachio tiramisu boom! You really have to come if you are in Rome! It's already beautiful abroad, but Mama Eat makes it even better.
3
I had been there years ago and had a great experience, as you have the opportunity to eat typical gluten-free food! I returned and unfortunately, I was very disappointed. The first courses are good but nothing exceptional. The problem, however, was the fried foods... they had completely absorbed the oil and were super heavy! We really struggled to eat them (especially the fried vegetables). I don't know if I would go back.
5
Amazing gluten-free pizza at honest prices. The staff is always friendly and courteous. I know they also prepare many other gluten-free dishes, but the pizza is so good that I never manage to give it up to try something else!
5
We dined at this place three times in August, and all were excellent. Both regular and gluten-free pizzas were exceptional, and the pasta portions were not too large but very good. Matteo, in particular, was very kind and nice. We are looking forward to an opening in Turin.
4
very good and tasty food, friendly and nice staff, an experience to repeat!
5
a paradise, excellent food, kindness and availability. The pizza is literally fabulous. Congratulations, we will be back.
5
The best gluten-free pizza I've ever eaten!
4
Great selection with the whole menu of the restaurant in a gluten-free version. The arancini are excellent.
5
I went to this place in Trastevere during a vacation. Great gluten-free cuisine. Dishes from Roman tradition and to finish, fried pizza with Nutella... as they say in Milan, TANTA ROBA. A special thanks to Carmen who knows how to pamper her guests.. thank you for everything Giorgio
5
Specializing in Gluten Free! Always part of the AFC circuit of AIC, the celiac's paradise: super soft pizza, typical Roman cuisine without gluten, and even gluten-free beer produced for them! Perfect for those visiting Trastevere, just a step away from Santa Maria in Trastevere.
5
The gluten-free options are exceptional! I came with my group and we were treated very well.
5
interesting place, excellent fried foods
4
We ate very well. Typical Roman/Campanian cuisine. The fried dishes were good even gluten-free. Excellent because you can find everything gluten-free. Of course, instead of tonnarelli, there are spaghetti, but unfortunately, you have to make do!!! The first courses are also excellent!!
5
Variety of flavors and attention to minimal contamination—a paradise.
5
The restaurant that every celiac dreams of really exists, and it's called Mama Eat Roma!! We had lunch there today and their menu is entirely gluten-free. The fried dishes are fantastic, not to mention the soft, tasty pizza—it’s basically delicious. The staff is also kind, welcoming, and super fast. In short, highly recommended!! We will definitely return soon and very gladly.
1
Everything is delicious
5
the best!
5
We had dinner with 4 people with pizzas, of which 2 were gluten-free: the difference is hardly noticeable, both types are so good. The outdoor space allows for eating outside, without too much hassle related to COVID. The menu has a wide selection and it is possible to request lactose-free dishes. The staff is friendly, especially CARMEN, who makes a difference, always paying special attention to the customer and is very nice. Highly recommended, we will come back.
5
Pizzeria restaurant in the heart of Rome, where you can eat with and without gluten. We decided to spend a Sunday outdoors reading the many reviews about Mama Eat, and we went there. We met Carmen, the head of the service, who was very friendly, kind, and highly qualified, like all the staff who really pampered us and accommodated our needs. We ate pizza and were amazed by its deliciousness, especially the gluten-free one; we didn't find any difference from the regular one. Highly recommended place for people with celiac disease, five stars are few when it comes to the venue and staff, and we will definitely return on other occasions 😉. P.S. I added a photo of the gluten-free pizza.
5
Great pizza with and without gluten, quality meat main courses. Beautiful but very good desserts, TAMUGNI. Make sure to go there hungry. Excellent staff always ready to meet your requests. Average prices and a very strategic place to then spend the evening in Trastevere. (kudos to the waiter who takes the orders verbally, for me NUMBER 1)
5
The restaurant is situated in a strategic location and immediately catches the eye. Well managed, with available and very courteous service. For those who consider gluten as an enemy, this is the place for you. I had a light and tasty first course and there is a wide choice of dishes, including traditional Roman ones, gluten-free, allowing you not to give up on Roman flavors if you are gluten intolerant. The pizzas are also very good. I will definitely return. I recommend it ☺️
5
Pizzas with quality ingredients and a soft, well-risen crust, a taste that "simply" intoxicates you. Gluten-free pizzas: same story, you struggle to distinguish them and the taste.....a dream! Super quick service and friendly, helpful staff. Prices: very reasonable. Absolutely not to be missed. Additional feedback: fried pizza...something celestial.....try it!
5
Great discovery in the center. Good quality food, highly appreciated the option to eat gluten-free with a double kitchen. The menu is varied, including pizza, first and second courses. I recommend the indoor room if you don't want to be on the street since being on a narrow road gives the feeling of dining with passersby. I will definitely return.
5
Everything is very good!! Super rich pizzas (maybe a bit too heavy), but the real gem for celiacs is that there is no extra charge for gluten-free options!
3
We dined at this place in a particular situation as we were all required to stay outside due to COVID, so the tables were practically set up almost on the street (it wasn't the only one). Luckily, ours was under a gazebo. The service was good even though not all the waiters understand Italian very well, so we had a few small problems needing to make modifications to a dish. Now, about the food: I’m the celiac, I had the mozzarella in carrozza, some zeppoline, all very good and homemade, and a pizza, separately in an oven. The dough was good, although I didn't understand what method they used since I had never eaten anything like it before. Coming from Naples, I can say it was good, especially the cornicione, while my son’s gluten pizza Margherita was spectacular; the only problem was that it was undercooked and it was too late to have it redone. Two other people had a carbonara and a matriciana, which were acceptable even though they arrived lukewarm; the flavor was good. The prices of the wines were too high, but the gluten-free beers were good in both taste and price, which I had not found in a pizzeria before. Overall, it’s a place you can stop by without any issues and it's a paradise for celiacs.
4
The waiters were very nice and the food was very good! We ate everything gluten-free and the appetizer was fantastic! The only negative note was the meat; it was tasty but had a rubbery texture. Considering the whole dinner, I think it was just an isolated case. Anyway, recommended!!
5
The carbonara? A fairy tale..... for the second course, the scottadito lamb, very tender, with a delicate flavor. The fries that some despise are NOT INDUSTRIAL; they are cut into thin slices and fried on the spot! All dishes are available GLUTEN-FREE, a true delight for the palate, with maximum attention to this intolerance from the kitchen. Cozy place, very polite staff, everything is very good from the first course to dessert. We didn't eat the pizza, but "at first glance" it seems to be well risen and of the right consistency. The pizza is definitely Neapolitan! At first glance, the menu price seems a bit high, but the area where it is located and especially the quality fully justifies, in my opinion, the price paid. No extra charge for gluten-free.
5
We specifically went to this place because they had gluten-free food. We ordered a board for two with quality cold cuts and cheeses along with a gluten-free Ciccio pizza base, which was excellent. We ordered several pizzas, including one gluten-free, and I must say it was truly excellent. The ingredients are of good quality, the pizza dough is well-leavened for a minimum of 24/36 hours, soft with a high crust. So, if you expect a thin and crispy pizza, this is not for you. The prices of the pizzas are average. We will definitely return.
5
For me, as a celiac who has visited many places, this is the only one that offers all menu items in a gluten-free version. Innovation and good taste are combined. The Neapolitan pizza is truly pure poetry and tradition. It was really a nice discovery. Young, kind, and friendly service.
2
It had been praised to me. No. We are not on the same page. The friarielli arrived after who knows how long they had been ready, since they were completely cold on the outside and only slightly warm on the inside. The fried food for celiacs was soaked in oil, confirming another review. Crossed off.
5
Spacious and welcoming location in the heart of Trastevere. Good food both with and without gluten. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Recommended for a dinner among friends; those who are celiac can be at ease, and others can still enjoy a wide selection. They also have lactose-free products.
2
The positive notes are the rich menu for celiacs and a good first course that satisfied me. However, the overall balance does not satisfy us: the fried foods really didn’t cut it.. oil dripping.. certainly not the best meat. I expected much more from the reviews I read.
5
For me, it was a pleasant discovery in the heart of Trastevere. I find that the Neapolitan owners have brought some beautiful innovations to the classics of Neapolitan cuisine. In this place, you can find both classic pizza doughs and gluten-free flours, and the result is really excellent. Another winning choice, in my opinion, is the use of all lactose-free cheeses, whose difference from classic products is minimal and for experienced palates. I tasted the gluten-free pizza with a mix of pistachios and mortadella, truly excellent. I think the reinterpretation of Neapolitan fried dishes is fabulous; we had a crocchè with sausage and friarielli that was 25 cm long... The desserts? Speechless.. devil's bites with Nutella (pieces of fried pizza drizzled with Nutella) and a truly spectacular chocolate and ricotta cake, moist and fragrant, just the way I like it. I will definitely be going back.
5
The menu of this restaurant in Trastevere is overwhelming in its completeness. You have never seen a restaurant so suitable for those with gluten intolerance. There are delicious appetizers, creative first courses, many pizzas, meat and fish second courses, countless sandwiches, and many desserts. The restaurant was founded in Rome a few years ago. The owner, being gluten intolerant herself, wanted to offer a great variety for those who need to be careful about ingredients. But people come here mainly for their potato croquettes. Amazing and crunchy!
