Delicious food. We had lunch late because we arrived late in Matera, but they welcomed us very well. While waiting for the first course, we were served a small but very tasty appetizer. Before leaving, we also took some pizzas to go... those were delicious too!
5
Fantastic place for people with gluten intolerance, typical Lucanian location with maximum attention and excellent dishes. Recommended.

delicious food pizza and super bread

Everything was delicious. We didn't try the pizzas, but the pasta and appetizers were excellent. Fresh, seasonal products. All explained and justified by the friendly, attentive, and helpful owner.

Gluten-free local flavors: delicious dinner

I discovered this restaurant and I was super satisfied! Relaxed and well-kept environment, varied menu with many dishes… I chose an appetizer based on octopus and it was sublime, followed by a tender and delicious beef tagliata. Careful and fast service! Really a nice discovery and I highly recommend it!!!!
5
Quiet and welcoming restaurant, with all typical dishes gluten-free and lactose-free. Attentive and available service! I recommend it to try typical dishes without risk. They also have baked goods made by them :)
5
We highly recommend it especially for the quality of food and the refined flavors. The courtesy and the location are the icing on the cake. Excellent dishes for both celiacs and non-celiacs! We will organize another trip and will come back!!
5
Typical dishes, homemade bread. First courses to lick your lips and sublime desserts. Craft beer in bottles and local organic wines available. Emanuele is a host marked by competence and hospitality. I had been there 6 years ago and confirm the excellent impression. Everything is gluten-free. Highly recommended!!!

Very convenient location: not exactly in the chaos of the historic center, but still very close. Warm and welcoming environment, clean and bright. The manager is very kind, yet discreet. Not many tables, so it's mandatory to book or you risk not finding a spot. The kitchen doesn't have a high number of dishes, but few, well-made, and tasty. Obviously, it's a matter of taste, but we liked it. The price we paid is fair. If it were in my city, I would go back. Congratulations!

Cozy locale with traditional cuisine, small and welcoming, few tables. Excellent food, everything gluten-free and lactose-free. We had crispy pepper and bruschetta, a first course with typical sausage and one with tomato. The only waiter is friendly and explains the dishes well. Unfortunately, the waiting times are too long. Prices are a bit high.
5
We had lunch at this restaurant during our stay in Matera. We ate so well that we returned for dinner as well. The name is a bit misleading because it's a restaurant for EVERYONE, including those with gluten and lactose issues. Well-prepared dishes, excellent service, we recommend it to anyone who wants to eat well and spend reasonably! Thank you!

Spectacular, absolutely worth trying.

Completely gluten-free locale! Local dishes, everything we ordered was good. Courteous staff and delivery times were normal. Recommended!

I start by saying that the food is truly exquisite. We had the octopus on a potato cream and the truffle risotto. Unfortunately, the positives end there. The waiter (only one for the whole place) was not attentive to our needs (we waited more than half an hour for water and bread). The starters and main courses arrived after more than an hour. The prices are too high for the environment, especially considering the size of the portions, which were really too small. We left still feeling hungry. Overall, I would say both the service and the prices/portions need improvement. However, the food was indeed of excellent quality.

I took a pizza for takeout. Definitely good, you can tell it's made with quality ingredients. Super honest price. Wow!
5
A completely gluten-free restaurant, with amazing fresh bread that's so good I made a "scarpetta". I don't have photos of the dishes but I highly recommend it. I had the pasta with Pezzente ragù and oh my, the eggplant parmigiana.
5
We dined in this restaurant for lunch and dinner. The entire menu is gluten-free, including their homemade bread. The dishes were well prepared and presented. Mr. Emanuele and his staff advised us on the dishes and the right wine pairing. We tried the German peppers, which are a true delight for the palate. Highly recommended.
5
Really fantastic place. Great professionalism and courtesy. Typical traditional dishes with excellent quality of raw materials. We will definitely return.
5
A gluten-free kitchen that has nothing to envy from a "normal" one. Delicious dishes made with excellent raw materials. Appetizer of bruschetta with turnip tops, goat ricotta and Cantabrian anchovies, seared octopus with potato puree and turmeric, small pasta with beans, mussels and clams, paccheri with pezzente ragù, everything truly very very good. Price appropriate to the quality.

I had the pleasure of celebrating my birthday here, and I can say that the experience was more than satisfactory. The venue is welcoming, with a warm and modern atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing dinner. The owner was extremely courteous and well-informed about dietary needs. The menu is varied and offers a wide selection of dishes. I tried the gluten-free pizza, which was surprisingly light and flavorful. In addition to the carefully selected selection of cold cuts and cheeses. The cake was also delicious as well as beautiful. I highly recommend this restaurant not only for those who need a gluten-free diet but for anyone who wants to enjoy genuine and well-prepared dishes. The quality of the ingredients and the passion with which they are cooked can be felt in every course. A repeatable experience!
5
Beautiful discovery just a stone's throw from our accommodation. Great food and reasonable prices, not exaggerated considering that everything is absolutely gluten free!
5
Excellent food, especially the first courses. Everything is gluten-free, so maximum safety. Definitely worth returning!
5
I have never found a place so specialized in gluten-free. Everything is perfect, I highly recommend it!
5
What a great find this place is!! The pizza is so good that it doesn't even taste gluten free! Everything is excellent: from the octopus cooked at 72 degrees... The special tiramisu is a must-try! The restrooms are spotless! Highly recommend!!
4
One of the best gluten-free places! Really recommended!
5
Only gluten-free. Pasta and bread made by them. Everything is truly delicious. The only downside is the price! Very expensive and the portions are very small.
5
We entered on the recommendation of a friend and we were very happy with what we found. I am not celiac and neither are my friends. I thought I would find everything different than usual, but honestly, I didn't find any positive differences. Bread with rosemary butter - wonderful, oven-baked olives excellent. Great pizza, warm environment (it was very cold ...) Soft music, very kind and discreet staff, never intrusive. If you come to Matera, don't avoid it! Thank you for the beautiful evening!

A completely gluten-free restaurant, really good! We ordered a pizza for my daughter who is celiac and a pasta dish for myself. The result: my daughter said it was the best gluten-free pizza she had ever eaten, I tried it too and aside from the amazing dough, the topping was excellent... I, despite not being celiac, didn't even realize my pasta was gluten-free, it was truly excellent. Before this, we were served their homemade bread which was delicious but especially had a light texture (those who know gluten-free bread know what I'm talking about!) accompanied by spiced butter made with Peperone crusco and some baked olives. The owner was kind and friendly, big smiles when he sees people enjoying his dishes but at the same time very discreet. At the end of the meal, he offered us some cookies that were, needless to say, amazing!!! One piece of advice, make the dining room a bit warmer and cozier to attract more people from outside because it’s a shame not to give them the opportunity to taste his cuisine! Congratulations!!! P.S. I didn't take any photos because it was so good that I didn't even think of it!!!
5
Fully gluten-free restaurant. The dishes are simply wonderful. If you are gluten intolerant or celiac, this is your restaurant; if you're not, like me, still go there.
4
Everything is very good and typical. The staff is friendly and courteous, but when you sit at the table, forget the clock: long waits for both ordering and eating.
5
Found in Matera for a day trip, I discovered this place and it made everything more beautiful. A wonderful find, the appetizers were truly fantastic, and the first course was really good; I even sopped up the sauce. Approved by my non-celiac partner as well, great job guys, excellent staff and service, accommodating, super kind, and attentive to the customer.
1
The bread is very good, but unfortunately the service was rude. In addition to the bakery, they also have a restaurant. The bakery opens at 12:30 and closes at 15:00. I went at 14:00 and they had run out of everything except for the bread. It's not possible that the only AIC bakery in Matera has so few items.
5
We tasted various dishes including appetizers, first courses, second courses, and dessert, and everything was delicious, featuring typical regional dishes. The service was a bit slow, which allowed us to enjoy the evening, and the waiter was very welcoming. Highly recommended!
5
The quality is amazing, everything is delicious! As a "non-celiac" I must say it's even better than many non-gluten-free places. We gladly returned. I highly recommend this first course: "Pistachio pesto from Stigliano and red shrimp tartare from the Adriatic Sea"
5
Great food, we went two evenings in a row. The first time we had appetizers and a first course, the second time pizza. We had a wonderful experience, everything was very good.
5
What can I say... here it's the non-celiacs who have to adapt, haha, it's the premise they give you when you enter. EVERYTHING is gluten-free and lactose-free. You can have lunch and dinner, and there's the option for takeout, both sweet and savory. The beauty of being able to try dishes from the Lucanian tradition (including crunchy peppers!) in complete safety and delicious burrata is priceless. Family-run, and you can see the love in the dishes. The service is a bit slow, but if you're on vacation, what’s the problem? Great job!
5
great pizza and also quite light for being gluten-free. recommended!
5
It was the discovery of discoveries. The walk in Matera was much more enjoyable and beautiful thanks to this place, with gluten-free and lactose-free products of endless goodness. They were also liked by non-celiac friends. Furthermore, there is a wide selection of artisanal products with shipping all over Italy!!
5
We arrived in Matera on Friday evening and had dinner here immediately. I have been celiac for 5 years now, and we have never found a place like this in the north! A menu COMPLETELY gluten and lactose-free; anything you desired could be eaten because in this restaurant there is no flour of any kind other than gluten-free! Mind-blowing pizza, absolutely must-try peperone crusco, delicious first courses, and simply exquisite second courses and cheeses! If you are celiac or have someone with you who is celiac, it is MANDATORY TO STOP HERE. The staff is incredibly kind (so much so that we booked a fixed table for all our meals over the weekend), especially the owner Emanuele with his endless availability. Another positive note: they have an e-commerce of gluten and lactose-free products made by them, shipping all over Italy, and they can also be purchased here in the restaurant. We can only thank entrepreneurs who choose to invest in and support food issues that are often underestimated. THANK YOU.

We ate very well. My partner is celiac and when I eat gluten-free foods, I often don't find the same satisfaction. Yesterday we had bruschetta for an appetizer, a first course, and a second course, all gluten-free, and I am very satisfied. The pasta is made by them. Top quality ingredients. The owner is very kind and professional. You can tell he does it with passion. Last point, the price, in my opinion, offers an excellent quality-price ratio. Highly recommended!!!!
5
Often, there is a mistake in considering gluten-free restaurants as only for people with celiac disease. In reality, I Sapori Senza Glutine not only offers local products of the highest quality, such as cheeses and cured meats, but they also have pasta, taralli, and cookies made by themselves. Their pizza is exquisite and very light, and the desserts prepared by Camilla are excellent. Highly recommended!
5
It was the discovery of discoveries. The walk in Matera was much more enjoyable and beautiful thanks to this place. Gluten-free and lactose-free products of infinite goodness. Even enjoyed by non-celiac friends. Additionally, a wide selection of artisanal products with shipping throughout Italy.
5
A venue that exclusively offers gluten-free and lactose-free products. The menu is very varied, and the quality of the products is truly excellent, appreciated even by non-celiacs. The bread, pasta, and desserts are fresh products prepared by them. The location is very nice, and the staff is very kind and available for any information requests. Highly recommended.
4
Very positive "gluten-free" culinary experience. The pasta is all homemade, and you can really taste the difference. The exceptional crispy peppers and the very extravagant way of keeping the wine cool really work well!!! This time we wanted our son to order without having to choose from a separate menu..... So, if you're celiac and passing through Matera, don't miss this great restaurant.
5
Is it worth taking an hour and a half for dinner? In my opinion, yes, especially if the wait is for a collection of authentic products from the Lucanian tradition. The restaurant presents itself in a sober, clean, and well-organized manner, with an open kitchen. The table setting is simple yet correctly arranged, and the seating is comfortable. The owner is also the head of the family managing the dining room and kitchen, a family-run establishment with a story to tell and a passion for cuisine and tradition to appreciate. In conclusion, I would like the dishes to speak for themselves, so I will leave you with some photos. P.S. ...maybe 5 euros per shot of liquor is a bit much, even though the recipe and product are the chef's work.
5
You really eat well. Everything is gluten-free but it is also suitable for anyone who wants to savor the good Lucanian cuisine. I had the selection of mixed appetizers and the trio of local sausages, exceptional. Courtesy and availability of the staff. Prices are average for the area.
5
Chosen location after reading a positive review about this place. We had lunch today and I can confirm the review I read: everything was delicious, excellent raw materials, and creativity in the preparation, with well-thought-out flavor pairings. Everything was gluten and lactose-free, which is the best for us intolerants, and even those who aren’t celiac enjoyed it a lot. We will definitely return. Highly recommended!!

I was very hesitant.... Once inside, I felt at home..... the smile, despite the mask, of the owner, his kindness, immediately made me feel comfortable. He advised and explained the menu to us..... with fantastic simplicity. Traditional dishes revisited with extreme attention to detail, an exaltation of every single element present on the plate, a joy for the palate. The quality-price ratio is extremely honest.
5
Completely gluten-free and lactose-free high-quality restaurant! All the dishes are exceptional!! Special mention for the bread and pizza! Spectacular! The best I have ever tasted (with and without gluten!!). I recommend everyone to try it! Celiacs and non-celiacs alike!! How much I will miss it when I return to the north! The owner and staff are very kind! It has few seats, so it's better to book! They also offer takeaway service and retail sales! Including the fantastic bread (the first real bread, worthy of the name that I have tasted in the last 5 years) and the homemade liquor! Special!
5
sublime pizza, unfortunately we didn't taste anything else.
5
a nice and welcoming place, a cordial and hospitable host makes the first impression pleasant. The menu with many good and genuine dishes makes you appreciate the place, local products, and the cuisine. Everything is gluten-free and homemade, the ideal spot for those with gluten intolerance and not only. To taste more unique dishes like panzerotti or excellent desserts, it is essential to contact and book in advance. A place to absolutely try.
5
Restaurant and fast cuisine strictly gluten-free, with AIC certification. Varied menu, we had a house appetizer for 4 and a central cacio e pepe pizza. Everything was excellent, compliments! There should be a place like this in every city!
5
Fantastic place...everything is gluten-free. The amazing thing is that they prepare everything themselves...everything!!! Except for the beer😜 If you pass by Matera, it’s a must-try.
2
A small and cozy place, they don't open until a quarter past eight, characteristic and limited menu, very slow service despite the few tables, as a celiac, one can make do, but better options can be found nearby. Last but not least: the ATM wasn't working, luckily we had cash, otherwise we would have had to go withdraw money....
2
Small restaurant, not to mention the table for 4 that could barely hold the pizzas! Very slow service, despite the low attendance. Ingredients of poor quality. It's a shame that the only restaurant for celiacs in Matera doesn't know how to make the most of its resources.
5
I had a wonderful dinner finally at a restaurant where I could eat without fear of feeling unwell! In fact! It’s gluten-free and lactose-free! I have intolerances, and in this restaurant I felt at home! Spoiled by the owner! He was very caring and made sure everything was okay! Go, I heartily recommend it!

Visiting the wonderful Matera, we stopped for dinner at this restaurant encouraged by the reviews, considering that my partner is celiac. The friendly and helpful owner welcomed us and immediately made us feel at home. We started with the typical appetizer of cheeses and cold cuts, followed by delicious first courses and a sublime ricotta tiramisu for dessert. Even I, who am not celiac, ate very well and did not notice any difference with gluten-containing foods. Highly recommended... congratulations!!
