I had lunch yesterday in this place. Among the gluten-free first courses, there was only a really good rice salad with shrimp and zucchini; otherwise, there were Schar packaged dishes to be heated on the spot. The manager told me he could quickly boil some rice if that salad wasn't to my liking, but it wasn't necessary. There were no typical Sicilian gluten-free products, neither sweet nor savory. I would have liked a cannolo, but instead, there was nothing. For desserts, there were gluten-free options like a mousse or a frozen packaged cheesecake.

Having been in Alcamo, we went to a well-known bar famous for their delicious arancine. Either people no longer know how to eat, or I don't know what, rice full of yellow food coloring and then the ragù with pine nuts; given the intolerances that exist today, it's indescribable. The butter and low-quality ham one, and then we are not in Catania where the arancina with meat is made round unless you're making it Catanese-style. For the rest, excellent ambiance but I didn't taste anything.
