The best gluten-free pastry shop ever! You can find everything from sweet to savory!

the locale is exclusively GF, everything is made by them. I tried both the savory and the mignons, all delicious and at reasonable prices.

100% Gluten Free! Not just pastries, but also fresh tortelli and agnolini (by reservation), ice cream, pizza, and focaccia.

A place that only makes gluten-free products. The brioche are exceptional, quality pastry, not to mention the focaccia and the pizza. I will definitely return to try the fresh pasta.

Super delicious, flaky, and fluffy croissants, they looked just like the regular ones!! The prices are a bit high (like all gluten-free items actually) but they are worth it *from €2.60 to €2.80* If you're passing through Parma, it must be a sure stop 😍

Employees with a level of rudeness and incompetence that is unique: on Wednesday I called asking if it was possible to have a gluten-free and lactose-free cake for Sunday, inquiring if it was possible to add a message on top. The response was, "Well, how do you expect me to do that?" I don't know, get a marker. Hahaha. I told her, "Well, you figure it out." She replied that she would call me back in 5 minutes; luckily, they never called back. Then on December 26, 2025, I went to pick up a profiterole and told a barista, "Hello, I need to pick up a profiterole under the name X." She, super annoyed, replied, "Yeah, whatever." Then she just stood there, looked at me, and gave me the wrong dessert. I went back, and she said, "Still here? What do you want?". "Do I look like a fool?! They make gluten-free pastries here; I’m never coming back...

I know the quality of Al Caruso well, I have been a customer for years because I have a celiac daughter. The new point of sale in collaboration with Maximilian is a place that finally offers the possibility of having breakfast with or without gluten. Everything is really excellent! But if I order at the counter without gluten, I shouldn't have to wait in line at the cash register where breakfasts and other items with gluten are being ordered. It would be advisable to have another cash register at that point. (At the cash register, there is always a line and the staff seems quite disoriented.) The tables take up a lot of space in the passage, and often those who have already had breakfast remain there, so... And you, with the tray in hand, don't know where to sit! Everything needs to be improved for the benefit of the customer.

Kind staff, I have other allergies in addition to celiac disease, and they read me the ingredients of everything they had. Sweet and savory croissants were delicious, as well as other very good pastries... highly recommended.

For those who cannot eat gluten, having breakfast at the bar is a dream, but this pastry bar has managed to make it a reality! There are both traditional and gluten-free products, all excellent. The location is perfect, there are many small tables. There is also a large parking area right next to the bar. However, the service has plenty of room for improvement. We would recommend switching to table service: this would reduce the queues in front of the cash register and make everything appear less chaotic.

The unmistakable quality of gluten-free at Al Caruso with reasonable prices and finally in a place that does it justice with a very welcoming, cared for, and inclusive aesthetic where even those with celiac disease can finally sit down and have breakfast without bringing their own croissant from elsewhere. Delicious food, excellent, super gluten-free! Precise, pleasant service that is very attentive to contamination. Elegant, welcoming, and well-kept environment and location.

Here’s a suggestion for your Instagram review: A fantastic discovery! The pastry shop offers gluten-free sweets that are as beautiful as they are delicious, with great value for money. It’s a shame that you can't have breakfast there, but the quality is truly exceptional. The kindness of the staff is another plus! I will definitely return to try their ice creams too. Highly recommended!

I went in person to truly experience the quality and goodness of their products compared to the competition in the province of Parma. I can only say that I have never eaten a gluten-free croissant as flaky and good as the ones they make, not to mention the Sicilian cannoli with a crunchy shell and a filling of just as good ricotta cream. I also tried some mini pastries from the counter, needless to say they were equally delicious. Despite the small space, I consumed something inside the shop, and the lady serving was equally kind. Try it to believe it!

Croissants and spectacular pastries at honest prices, increasingly rare in the world of gluten-free. The cakes are also very inviting. They also have savory products; I believe they also make some fresh pasta. It is not possible to have breakfast on-site.

You made me forget that I am celiac!! A wonderful remedy for preparing not only sweets but also savory dishes, especially the focaccia which reminded me a lot of the Ligurian one. There are no words to describe the skill of this guy. Congratulations😊

Pastry shop truly of high level. It's somewhat hard to find along the road for those not from the area. Absolutely delicious gluten-free sweets.

Heaven for the gluten-free, but also for their friends! Our favorite is the three chocolate cake, but it's always very difficult to choose: macarons, individual tiramisu portions, cream puffs, cannoli, but also bread, pizza, tortelli.

Gluten-free pastry shop where you won’t feel the difference from "normal" pastry shops. Huge selection of cakes, pastries, sweet and savory brioches, pizza focaccia, and excellent ice cream. Many products are both gluten-free and lactose-free. I recommend it to both those who can and cannot eat gluten.

Excellent gluten-free pastry shop, a reference point for celiacs in Parma and surroundings. I have been buying cakes and pastries from them for years without ever being disappointed. Quality, ethics, and attention to customers.

Fantastic pastry shop: very clean and welcoming place. The cake I ordered for my son's eighteenth birthday was sublime, very delicate, and I could taste the various flavors of the creams I chose; it didn't seem like a gluten-free cake at all. Congratulations on the skill and professionalism you always show. You are always a guarantee. Thank you, Laura
