Unfortunately, this time I have to give a not positive review of this restaurant where my husband and I ate perhaps a couple of years ago and of which we were fully satisfied, so much so that we couldn't wait to return. However, this time it didn't go as we expected. First of all, one of our guests was unwell that day, so we had to repeatedly go up and down from the dining room, which was on the upper floor (heated), to the bathroom located downstairs (cold and unheated), next to the exit accessible via a long staircase leading out of the restaurant. But this is not to be condemned, the place is made this way, but at least heating the area would have been more pleasant. Aside from this, the €45 menu they offered was of fairly poor quality, with very salty dishes including chicory and cicerchie, poorly cooked mushrooms, and more than one dish was loaded with large chunks of garlic so much so that I was able to remove a couple of pieces from my mouth recognizing the taste. And what is even more serious, which the staff and owners initially tried to gloss over, making it even more serious, was that one of our guests found a piece of glass the size of a lentil between her teeth while eating chicory with cicerchie. When we alerted them, the staff girls hastily took it away from the table apologizing but did not notify those in charge; so that when we reported it, one of the responsible owners tried to turn the reality around saying it could have been a pebble or a lentil, while the other manager came to apologize but always with an air as if we were the ones mistaken, saying that a glass broke but not near the kitchen and some time ago... Moreover, we immediately informed them that out of six people, three were lactose intolerant, one of whom had a baby menu without lactose. And amidst the confusion, our appetizer arrived simultaneously with the pasta with sauce from the baby menu, followed by the baby appetizer made up of "cooked ham and mozzarella without lactose," according to the staff's presentation. However, upon looking at the mozzarella of the regular appetizer and that of the lactose-free baby menu, they were the same, so we drew their attention and only then did they bring us the three lactose-free robiole. In short, without going into too much detail, we had to repeatedly explain and request the staff's attention on many small (and not) details. Personally, I lost my appetite and trust in them from the piece of glass. They tried to remedy their modus operandi in some way but always with an air of superficiality and annoyance; perhaps only the staff girls were truly kind because they realized it wasn’t a good day given the health conditions of the guest who was unwell the entire time. Despite it all, we apologized multiple times for somehow delaying their work, while on their part we only received stifled air and attempts to minimize. And honestly, considering the incident with the glass is quite serious, in my opinion, they should have been a little more careful. But it's okay like this. I'm sorry, but we are not satisfied.
