very careful about contamination

Perhaps they are careful with ice creams (they are separated from the rest), but as for the slushies, it cannot be said that they are gluten-free because when you ask, they respond yes but that pieces of ice cream could fall in while serving customers since they are close by.

Gelato that is both gluten-free and vegan is delicious and safe (since they keep it in a dedicated area). There is also the option of a gluten-free cone 🍦. Additionally, there are many cakes that are both gluten-free and lactose-free. In short, a paradise for us intolerant people. Highly recommended!

Total disappointment: discrimination towards celiac patients and poor food safety. I strongly advise against this ice cream shop for anyone suffering from celiac disease or concerned about food safety. The gluten-free flavors (only 3 or 4) are hidden behind the counter, not visible to customers, as if they were a nuisance to be concealed. All other flavors (over 60) are prominently displayed, illuminated and accessible only to non-celiac customers. This is a deeply discriminatory setup that makes my 9-year-old niece feel like a second-class customer. But the most serious issue happened today: we found a long piece of clear plastic in her gluten-free ice cream. If she hadn’t noticed it in time, she could have ingested it or choked on it. When we reported the issue, the staff merely offered superficial apologies and made the same ice cream again, which my niece obviously refused to eat. No real attention, no empathy, no serious control over what they serve. Terrible experience from every point of view. We will never return.

Absolutely disappointing and unacceptable. If you are celiac or have a celiac child, avoid this place. Only 3 or 4 gluten-free flavors, hidden behind the counter, not visible or accessible, while the 60+ "normal" flavors are all on display. It is evident that celiac customers here are treated like a nuisance, not as people to be respected. But the worst was finding a transparent plastic filament inside my daughter's gluten-free ice cream (9 years old). If she hadn't noticed it in time, she could have swallowed it or worse. When reported, the staff simply offered perfunctory apologies and remade the same ice cream, which obviously my daughter didn't want to touch again. No attention to safety, zero sensitivity. A shame. We will never return.

The best ice cream parlor in Italy that I have ever been to! From the super cute environment that you can notice as soon as you walk through the door to the vast selection of delicious flavors (more than 60 different flavors) and types of ice cream (regular, high-protein, vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free, etc.). Amazing crepes. Not to mention the cake section! About fifty cakes of every possible flavor and size are displayed, all very inviting and bookable for events or available for purchase right on the spot, if available. The quality-to-price ratio is really excellent. The waiters are all very kind. There are tables both inside and outside. There is also a large parking lot just a few meters away. This fantastic ice cream parlor makes you want to eat ice cream at any moment and season of the year. If I pass through Modena, I will definitely go back!
