excellent experience, we ordered gluten-free pucce and sg beer, we found it hard to believe that the bread was gluten-free because it was so good! I don’t know if we were just lucky or if it’s always like this, but we had never tasted such bread before

Pane, Olio e Fantasia offers a certified gluten-free menu from the AIC, a guarantee for those who are celiac or intolerant, and the experience was truly excellent. To start, we had two mixed fried dishes, really delicious, crispy and well-prepared. Then we tried different pucce: with octopus, sea bass, meatballs, and porchetta. They were all incredibly good, rich in flavor and made with quality ingredients. It was hard to choose our favorite! The service was impeccable: all the staff were super kind, helpful, and attentive. The interior of the place is very cozy and well-kept, perfect for spending a pleasant evening. We recommend it both to those looking for an excellent gluten-free option and to those who simply want to eat something really good! Price 20-30€ per person

Chosen only for gluten-free dining needs. Not at all comfortable place. Fair quality ingredients, but poorly cooked. Polite staff, but they initially ignored the discount due with the app The Fork, and once pointed out, they still returned less by rounding in their favor😳. Very disappointing experience. Choose something else!

I am celiac and I had a gluten-free puccia, it was delicious!! The entire menu can be made gluten-free for an additional 2€. I went there in August 2024 so I don't know if anything has changed, but I was really satisfied 😋

We went to this restaurant knowing that we would find a gluten-free menu, as seen on social media. Unfortunately, we were not informed that there was an additional charge of €2 for gluten-free options on every dish, especially for products that do not contain gluten, like fish. After asking for explanations, we were told it was due to contamination. It seems a bit exaggerated to me. The products were of frozen quality and the service also left much to be desired. I do not recommend it, I'm sorry.

Restaurant that offers the entire menu also gluten-free. We ordered a mix of fish balls as an appetizer; they were good, but nothing exceptional. Orecchiette with turnip tops were very good, and gnocchetti with pistachio cream and shrimp were tasty, but unfortunately too oily. Finally, a chewy fried dish that unfortunately wasn't very good. The service was quite poor; everything was brought to us at once, and our empty plates from the first course were taken away along with the finished fried dish.

The entire menu is available gluten-free. Very good puccia 🤩

Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the super kind and very accommodating owner, excellent food, fresh fish, the menu even has gluten-free options, perhaps the service could be improved a bit even though we waited very little, informal atmosphere, I recommend it and would gladly return, top prices!!!!👍

The Aic certificate is in the historical part of Gallipoli. It doesn't excel in beauty but the puccia was good.
3
Nice place certified AIC in the historic center of Gallipoli, spaghetti with mussels and orecchiette with turnip tops were very good, the mixed fry left a lot to be desired, as did the meatball mix from the appetizers. It seems a bit excessive to overcharge every gluten-free dish by two euros, even those that are naturally gluten-free just because they say they "need to employ a special person" for that. Nice but I wouldn't go back, prices too high compared to the quality.

Great selection and excellent service, delicious food!
5
delicious food with and without gluten, super safe with plenty of gluten-free choices. The service is excellent, everyone is super nice and welcoming.

Gluten-free certified venue, but a bit of a sad experience. For being specialists, not enough importance is given to the customer, and it is taken for granted that being celiac means there are no other alternatives. The venue is nice, although located in the main square of the historic center, which resembles a covered market of structures stuck together. Dishes are average but without notable flavors. We were not satisfied.

We had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant in a charming square in the center of Gallipoli. We came specifically from Porto Cesareo because it is AIC certified, and we made a great decision! I ordered the gluten-free trio of tartare, the puccia with octopus, and orecchiette with turnip tops, along with a beer and a pasticciotto. Everything was FABULOUS! My family ordered other pucce with hamburgers and meatballs, as well as cheesecake, and they were also super satisfied and found everything excellent. The staff is nothing short of kind. Attentive, caring, and fast service. Our dog was also welcomed :) We can only compliment and recommend it!

In this restaurant, I had lunch; I ordered the octopus with cumma (recommended). This place is prepared for gluten-free options, with various choices. Recommended.

I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant recently and I must say that the experience was truly positive, especially for those, like me, who are celiac. The gluten-free menu is rich and varied, with dishes ranging from fresh pasta to puccie, all prepared with fresh and quality ingredients. The staff was extremely attentive and knowledgeable regarding celiac needs, making sure there were no contaminations. Moreover, the atmosphere of the place is welcoming and relaxing, which makes the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a safe and tasty restaurant for celiacs.

very attentive to gluten-free but the quality of the food is very poor

Fantastic restaurant for celiacs! Great puccia with meatballs!

delicious puccia. the entire menu can be made gluten-free for an additional fee of 2€

We went there in August, lunch on a weekday. The kitchen was overloaded and the mood in the room was a bit wobbly. The dishes were mediocre. We ordered an appetizer, two first courses, and a second course. They brought everything at once (we had specified that we wanted to share the appetizer initially). The seasoning of the pasta was bland, it seemed thrown together without care for the harmony of flavors. Good for the attention to gluten-free options, but apart from the joy of having a menu with all dishes available gluten-free, the quality of the food is not up to a restaurant kitchen.

Tourist spot offering a full gluten-free menu (with a surcharge). The orecchiette with turnip greens didn't impress me much. The cheesecake was good. Safety level is definitely high. Possibility to have gluten-free beer!

I will start with the best thing I have to say. The octopus. I must say the wait was really, really long; in fact, all the other six diners had already finished their dinner when my octopus arrived. However, I have to tell the truth: I have never eaten such a good octopus; it was cooked to perfection, and the sauce was delicious—a classic sweet and sour chili with a salad on the side (which wasn't the best, a bit bitter, but compared to the whole dish, no one noticed because the rest was truly exquisite). It was also served with lemon. Tender, perfect; it was worth the wait. The bathrooms were clean, even though there was no soap, and the location was well-ventilated. Online reservation worked perfectly, and the staff was super friendly, although I would have avoided polishing the cutlery in the dining room. They offered flavored spritzers that were very good, and the ice was of high quality. The puccia and cumma were truly very good; they all arrived together and were each accompanied by well-fried potatoes, perfectly seasoned. They also had the option to cater to gluten-free customers, which is really excellent. Plates and glasses were perfectly polished. Compliments to the staff, although I would recommend a uniform for everyone and to always keep chargers available for customers in case they need them, but these are just small details—everything else was perfect.

The best gluten-free pasta with mushells I have ever eaten. The perfect gluten-free panna cota. This is a paradise for people with celiac disease. The service staff are very nice and helpful. We will definitely come back here again 😊❤
5
Located in the AFC circuit for years, the entire menu is available gluten-free. The Puccia is excellent; I took it to go, and the bread maintained the right consistency.
4
Overall positive experience, delicious gluten-free orecchiette. Friendly staff and nice place in the center of Gallipoli.
5
Salvatore welcomed us warmly into the venue and despite the large influx of people, he was always very attentive to ensure we lacked nothing, with kindness and smiles! Moreover, from appetizers to desserts, everything is also gluten-free!!! Finally, I was able to taste the typical dishes of Salento as well. Everything was delicious! I recommend it to everyone, both coeliacs and non-coeliacs!
1
I must have been unlucky, but I got takeout fried food... cold, hard, and inedible....
2
A place full of confusion in the center of Gallipoli, crowded with tourists. Orecchiette with turnip tops for €14 were a bit bitter and mushy, while the fish fry was a bit scarce for €16. Overall, it was mediocre... the service was not the best... but the same regular menu was available at GF.
5
Fixed stop on this vacation: a real guarantee... especially for those, like me, who are celiac. It is possible to order the entire menu with the 'GLUTEN-FREE' option in total safety, far from any type of contamination! The menu is varied; you can order from seafood pasta dishes, to puccia (soft and... divine!), to fried food, to grilled fish... And to conclude... dessert is a must! They have a wide selection of desserts, including the typical Salento pasticciotto (with cream or chocolate), among the best gluten-free I've ever tasted!!! A paradise for us celiacs! The service is impeccable... and the staff is available, friendly, and nice. They really made us feel at home! Go visit them, you won't regret it!

Nice place. I tasted a really good puccia at a fair price. Recommended.
5
Excellent culinary experience featuring Salento flavors through pucce and cumme, both typical baked products, expertly filled: one with excellent lightly seared tuna and the other with octopus and burrata. Concluding with a Salento pasticciotto. All gluten-free, all delicious. Highly recommended.
5
Highly recommended, the entire menu is gluten-free with options for both street food and seated dining at comfortable tables. Excellent quality despite being very touristy, generous portions, friendly and pleasant owner. Recommended.

If you are looking for excellent gluten-free cuisine, then you must try this restaurant. Their attention to the quality of the ingredients is evident in every dish. Gluten-free cuisine is a true delight, each dish is expertly prepared and presents a perfect balance of flavors and textures. Not only is the gluten-free cuisine great, but the fish dishes are exceptional. Their fresh fish is carefully selected and cooked to perfection. Every bite is full of flavor, and the freshness of the fish is evident in every mouthful. The chefs know how to highlight the natural flavor of the fish without overpowering it with too many spices or heavy sauces. Moreover, the service is impeccable. The staff is always friendly and helpful, ensuring that every wish you have is catered to. There’s nothing better than enjoying a meal without worrying about allergies or intolerances. If you're looking for gluten-free cuisine and love fresh fish, this restaurant will not disappoint.

We have eaten several times in this restaurant, trying a bit of everything gluten-free: appetizers, first courses, main courses, and desserts. A special mention goes to the first courses: both the gnocchi and the minchiarieddhri were exquisite. The pasticciotto was fantastic (you can also take it away and enjoy it the next day). We were always extremely enthusiastic, highly recommend it!

At the suggestion of the AIC app, I had a very varied menu of land and sea. For the first time, I had what is in the photo, and the second time, a fried fish dish, which was excellent. I recommend it.

I tried the takeout puccia and I have to say it’s really good!! They have various choices both for takeout and for table service. We are on vacation here in Gallipoli and we will definitely go back 🔝

Venue with a complete menu also for celiacs (one of us is) and so appreciation for this. Unacceptable waiting times and not communicated when we sat down, an hour and a quarter to bring what was ordered; besides, we were 5 and not everything arrived together, but some ate before others. Waiting to pay the bill was also lengthy; it seemed that no one was interested in collecting the due amount, but 8 minutes ignored by everyone at the cash register is truly an enormity.

Gallipoli is very busy and chaotic at this time. Many tourists are looking for the best place to eat. We chose a restaurant with a "gluten-free" menu for necessity. What can I say? Besides the long wait, which is understandable given the crowds, we were satisfied with our choice. The roasted octopus sandwich (gluten-free) was excellent, fresh fish, and the multigrain bread was delicious. The hamburger sandwich had quality meat. The fried seafood with squid and shrimp (gluten-free) was fantastic. The only downside in the service is that when the dishes come out of the kitchen, they should be brought to the table, not stopped in the middle of the street while giving explanations to people asking for information. But we understand that too. The waiters try to be polite, but unfortunately, people lack patience and sometimes do not realize that the waiters might be working at that moment. The owner or manager (in the photo) was very kind and extremely helpful even during peak service. We will definitely return!

I can't distinguish between trattoria and pucceria / friggitoria ...so I'm writing here!!! EXCELLENT TRATTORIA, the food is spectacular and the kindness of the owner...and for celiacs, there is even fresh pasta!!!! 😎😎👍🏻👍🏻 PUCCERIA excellent puccia (also gluten-free), but you can't wait 40 minutes for two pucce with hamburger, and you can't charge €2 for a cover with paper placemats and paper napkins....also needs to improve the organization of the waiters for orders and drink delivery.
1
I didn’t feel well at all. The first negative thing to highlight is that neither the waiters during service (both outside and inside) nor the kitchen staff were wearing masks. I find this very serious. Then the service is terrible: the staff is slow, unprofessional, truly rude, and put their fingers in the dishes to bring them to the table. The tables outside are all really crammed under the veranda; I had lunch with my back stuck to the guy behind me, which is not only uncomfortable but also against anti-COVID regulations. The only positive thing is that the menu offers options that are both vegetarian and gluten-free, although the vegetarian option number 11 wasn’t that great, just some vegetables, unlike other pucce from other places that were much better prepared.
5
The place is located in the city center, on a very touristy street. Not appreciating this kind of location, we opted to take the pucce to go. According to my boyfriend, who tried both, the gluten-free one was even tastier than the "normal" one :D

I found this place by chance on the internet, through my boyfriend, that had a gluten-free kitchen. As soon as we arrived, we found a very welcoming trattoria, with discreet, very kind, and helpful staff. The "normal" cuisine was excellent, and the gluten-free options (for me, being celiac) were exquisite, outstanding, and I highly recommend it for us celiacs. The reviews were very negative, but going there in person for the first time, I must say that I recommend it. One small flaw, if a flaw can be called such: we ordered lemon sorbet, and received green apple sorbet instead, with the waiter telling us, "I brought you this green apple sorbet because it’s lighter." We were a bit disappointed because it wasn't communicated beforehand, and we didn’t like it much, but it’s okay nonetheless. I recommend it! Not bad as a trattoria found by chance 😂

Located in the heart of old Gallipoli, this small restaurant offers seating in a charming little square. The owner welcomed us warmly, making us feel at home right away. The appetizers and the mixed fried calamari and shrimp were excellent. All paired with a very fresh local sparkling Rosé. The staff was nice and the environment clean and orderly. The restaurant offers an excellent gluten-free service. The pittule have a different texture compared to traditional ones, but this is due to the type of flour used. Everything was good! The prices are reasonable.
