We had dinner at this inn on the evening of December 31st with a menu specifically proposed for New Year's Eve. The quality of the food is really high and the staff is very kind and helpful. One girl from our group was lactose intolerant, and the staff immediately remembered this, offering valid and tasty alternatives. We started with an appetizer made of cooked speck, crostini salad, and pomegranate, and a really good stuffed pastry. The first courses were sedans with nettles and duck ragù, and gnocchi with butter, sage, and bacon. Both were excellent. For the second course, we had a tonco del pontesel (here the meat was very tender) and cotechino with lentils. The dessert was also very good: a semi-freddo with crunchy almonds accompanied by whipped cream. Perfection is always very difficult to achieve. If it were possible, I would give 4.5 stars because the food is very good and the location is very welcoming, but I can't, so I have to give 4. Unfortunately, the Pinot bianco we chose was just a bit cool (the owner said he would give it a blast in the fridge, but it wasn't enough). Also, we would have expected sparkling wine glasses to be offered for a toast at the end of dinner and included in the price, but we had to buy another bottle. Let's say that the New Year's toast is taken for granted among a group of people, so it's obvious that if you don't offer it, they will buy the bottle. Usually, I've always found the toast glass included in the price of dinner, especially when it comes to 70 euros. Overall, everything went well; the place is worth it!
