What a delight! I was almost going to turn away because gluten free and vegan options back home aren’t usually the best, but this exceeded my expectations. Came here for breakfast, it was filling, affordable, and delicious.

Amazing gluten free breakfast. Got the toast and tofu donut set. THE BEST SOUP in the breakfast set, it apparently had daikon and two other Japanese root vegetables I forget the name of but related to the potato and it was reminiscent to me of clam chowder, c creamy. Could’ve drank a whole vat of that soup. Tofu donut was yummy, slightly sweet and chewy like mochi. Salad was well seasoned. Blueberry yogurt side was delish idk what yogurt or milk they use but it tastes creamier. Tofu egg toast was p good, forgot it was tofu and not real scrambled eggs in the beginning. The bread was a bit dense to get through but I’m not usually gluten free so idk what gluten free bread counts as good/how it was comparatively. Overall great experience and cute shop with bowls and some jewelry. The two cooks were such nice women and explained to me what japanese root vegetables were in the soup after I asked

Hidden gem!!!! This place healed my soul. Best parfait I have ever had and one of the best desserts I’ve had during my 40 days in Kyoto! I found this place on my way to work and was drawn to the gluten free tofu donut sign! I am surprised it is not viral with a like out the door. No wait, super friendly staff who are fluent in english, and a refreshing, gluten-free treat. I have been to many crowded and crazy cafes around here, but this was the most relaxing by far. I could have spent all day here. I got the blueberry tofu donut parfait. The berries and tofu ice cream were crisp and refreshing, which was nicely complimented by the warm, fresh tofu donuts. The mint garnish absolutely made the dish. It was almost like a non-dairy yogurt parfait you’d have in The States, except 1000x better, fresher and more delicious. It was a sweet snack and the least expensive parfait I’ve seen in Kyoto. This place has the perfect ambience and I cannot wait to come back and try their matcha! Would give 10 stars if I could!
