good canederli in 2 possible variants, attentive staff and a rich menu of choices. I would have preferred to find more typical desserts (krapfen, strudel or sacher)

Beauty and efficiency. I was moved when I learned that I would be able to savor canederli, goulash, and gluten-free desserts!! Thank you for this rare opportunity! And a heartfelt thanks to the lovely, friendly, and smiling blonde girl who served us quickly and with great professionalism. A memorable experience, I will definitely return, congratulations on the management's choice to care for those suffering from celiac disease with unimaginable attentions elsewhere in Val di Fassa.

Difficult to reach, a long journey always uphill, with the final stretch characterized by high steps, fortunately softened during the ascent by the side slopes. It is mandatory (before sitting at the table in the refuge) to extend the walk by about 20 minutes to find yourself in front of the beautiful bronze sculpture of the Eagle (2.50 meters high, inaugurated in 1919, later restored and re-dedicated after the war from the damage it suffered), dedicated to the Austro-Hungarian politician and figure THEODOR CHRISTOMANNOS, it is truly worth it. Upon returning to the refuge, the food and service are of high quality, with a menu available for celiacs. Excellent! The view and panorama are... breathtaking!

Once you arrive at the refuge from the Ciampedie cable car (departure from Vigo di Fassa, round trip €25 for adults), follow the Viel de la Feide (about 2 hours and 40 minutes, around 8km and a 400m elevation gain, be careful if you have small children as there are exposed sections, but the path is very beautiful and scenic). At the refuge, the only point I think could be improved is the access for guests, as currently you have to wait around to find a free table. The service is quick, the staff is very kind and alert, the food is good overall and prices are reasonable. It's worth noting the excellent treatment for gluten-free individuals: gluten-free dishes are marked and with several choices, great quality, informed staff, dedicated cutlery. Really well done. We returned via a path that seemed poorly marked, so much so that we ended up descending directly to Vigo without using lifts (about 8km and a 900m descent). The trip is worth it.
