Gluten-free mistake! I thought a lot about whether or not to write this review, but in the end, I decided to write it. I went to this restaurant for the first (and last) time a few weeks ago. I had previously sent a message to the owner, before making a reservation, asking if there were vegan and gluten-free options, and I was promptly told yes, specifically, I was offered gluten-free pasta with vegetables. Satisfied, I went there with my husband that same evening, and when the owner came to take the order, I reminded him that I was the same person who had requested vegan and gluten-free options via message. Our dishes arrived, I tasted a forkful of my linguine and..... I immediately realized something was wrong. I asked the waiter to check if the pasta was gluten-free; he disappeared, then I asked another one the same thing, and he disappeared too. Meanwhile, my husband finished eating, and only after 10 minutes (I could have also finished my dish by then) did the owner arrive, mortified, saying he hadn’t understood that the pasta had to be gluten-free. I was offered to remake the dish but obviously, I left. The cost of my incorrect first dish was deducted from the bill. I can’t say that "these things can happen" because these things absolutely should not happen. I appreciated the owner's willingness to ensure vegan and gluten-free options, but I cannot accept such a mistake, especially because it impacts my health (I felt very unwell). It’s a really serious issue. I urge the owner to be more attentive and the staff to be more professional and quick in communicating even "uncomfortable" things.
