I must say that the expectations were high since they have gluten-free options, but the products are not actually of good quality, I think they're frozen? The price/quality ratio is high, I must say. Gluten free croissants!!! Need I say more? I wondered in here and to my surprise discovered an incredible selection of gluten free options. I am so used to searching this stuff out I was delighted. The staff were so kind and friendly (despite my lack of Italian) and €2 for great coffee!

A truly more than positive review for the bar Meso's. The gluten-free products are artisanal, which is rare to find as they are often just packaged, and the quality is noticeable: I tried the croissant, light and really delicious, and the piadina, excellent and flavorful. Super fast service and friendly, welcoming staff. A true excellence for those looking for gluten-free done right. Highly recommended!

Cafe in Bologna city centre with gluten free options (both sweet and savoury!). This custard pie with apple slices was pretty good, a sweet treat I bought myself yesterday afternoon after my Bologna explorations. The service was fast and the waiter was very friendly, but this was definitely too expensive for italian standards: 4€ for a pastry is definitely too much guys.

This place makes some of the best gluten-free croissants I’ve ever had — perfectly flaky and full of flavor! Pistachio, nocciola, marmalade, and cioccolato are all winners. One time they sold out, so I tried the chocolate rolly polly instead, and it turned out to be a great backup choice. Always worth a visit! Ps. They also offer gluten free savoury items!

The waiter was unnecessary rude and hars. His style made it clear, that foreigners are not welcomed. The juice and coffee were good, and the gluten-free croissant was fantastic. If you have spoon for rudeness, than go ahead. If you are not in mood to be handled as disrespectfully, there are plenty other places with gluten-free options.

One of the few places where you can have gluten-free breakfasts with a rich selection of baked goods. The products are separated and packaged (but artisanal) and are served warm. Of course, not all pastries perfectly mimic those made with regular flour, but I wouldn't complain too much, in fact.

I came from Meso to have gluten-free breakfast as I am celiac. The chocolate croissant I ordered arrived warm and was really good. My friend, on the other hand, had savory crepes and assures that they were delicious. As for the prices, I can't say if they are high because I'm not from the area. Overall, recommended place.

Went to Bar Meso for breakfast based on reviews of their gluten-free offerings. I was willing to trek anywhere to try a gf croissant! Small place off an alley where u can sit inside or out. We sat outside, which was nice. Ordered a latte, lemon pastry, fruit cup, berry custard croissant and gluten free croissant. The regular croissant was excellent! The gluten free croissant, although I enjoyed it and appreciated it being offered, does not taste like a regular croissant. If you've ever had the Pillsbury crescent rolls that pop out of the tube, that's what these look and taste like. That's not bad - those r quite tasty. They're just denser, not as buttery and aren't a true flaky croissant. There are other gf offerings as well, we just did the croissant. Also really appreciated that they offered a fruit bowl! We were craving fresh fruit/veggies by this point in the trip and their fruit bowl was refreshing and hit the spot.

Bar below my guesthouse. One of the few bars that offers breakfast for celiacs, vegans, and has many types of specific products. Fresh juices available all year round, always excellent! Highly recommended!

Incredible vegan apricot brioche. They also have good gluten-free options (my celiac friend enjoyed the cannoli) and fresh fruit and vegetable juices. Friendly and professional staff.

We particularly enjoyed the latte macchiato (delicious), the management of gluten-free products (packaged and kept in a separate display case), and the courtesy of the staff. The only disappointment was the gluten-free jam brioche, which was nothing special.

Good experience in this place close to the center of Bologna. After having a piadina, we were looking for a place for a dessert and coffee and we stopped here... the staff is very friendly and helpful. I had a gluten-free bombolone (which didn't completely satisfy me, TOO hot, reheated in the microwave I think) and an excellent cappuccino. Many gluten-free options for every palate, prices are average for gluten-free products. Compliments for the variety and courtesy.

Apart from the freshly made baguettes, all other options are prepackaged foods. The staff pays great attention; prices are a bit high. A nice place for breakfast, brunch, and aperitifs.

Wide selection for breakfast, both sweet and savory, by far the best gluten-free croissants! You'll also find mini pizzas, stuffed calzones, flatbreads, sandwiches, cookies, bomboloni...whatever you can think of, and it's all delicious! (Nothing like the packaged stuff you usually find!)

Located in a very quiet little street in the center close to the main road that leads to the center. Easy to find. Everything is very good and there is really a lot of variety for those with celiac disease. I am celiac and I assure you that you will leave with a smile! We had breakfast here twice and took some piadine to go for lunch (they also have gluten-free ones). I would like to commend, regardless of the good food, the staff who are really very friendly, smiling, and available regardless of who they are facing.

Bar discovered by chance during a walk in the alleys. We stopped by for the excellent availability of gluten-free products for breakfast: bomboloni, croissants... in short, a lot of choices. We chose a croissant with jam (due to the unavailability of lactose-free croissants) with a lactose-free cappuccino (no soy) and a gluten-free croissant with a classic cappuccino. The products were excellent; perhaps a bit more jam in the croissant would have been nice. The cappuccino was creamy and very good. Attentive, kind, and present staff. Prices are quite high (€3.80 for gluten-free) but are clearly displayed on the board before entering, so no surprises.

Here they have gluten free sweet breakfast pastries and gluten-free piadina (Bologna flat bread). Very nice breakfast items and they can fill piadina with anything you want. Very good fresh vegetables and fruit juices - totally customizable.

Discreet sweet gluten-free products, excellent instead the savory ones. They also have vegan and lactose-free products. The juices or extracts are good. It's a bit expensive in the city center, but the employees are nice and kind. I go there every week.
