Perfect place to eat when visiting Old Town, mostly in Lunch or a quick Dinner. The place is small but comfy it its own way, we came in the winter and has its heater and also blankets. The service is great, they speak Italian and English, also kind enough to explain the ingredients, flavors and taste overall of their options. Has a great diversity of options, you can even make your own Panini, but believe me when I say that they know what they made up in their menu, we tried the Buzza and Non c'è pezza, sharing each panini, and also it's a great Senza Glutine place! To eat something without gluten. Would totally return when visiting the city.

A place in the center of Bologna, quite small with only outdoor seating; despite the somewhat crowded location, we had a really good time, welcomed by attentive and kind staff with delicious food. Finally, we found a place that had both vegan and gluten-free options (and not at all trivial!). Many varieties of sandwiches and ingredients, the vegan cheeses and sauces are highly recommended (we tried the pecorino and the squacquerone, incredible). We had to wait a bit in line, but it was worth it: highly recommended!

Seating is only available outside, but there are heating lamps and blankets. Takeaway service when possible. Wide choice of sandwiches, including gluten-free options. Fabulous sandwiches! And also available in a gluten-free version (my girlfriend is celiac). The staff are very attentive to contamination, and specific gluten-free ingredients are available (like amaretto). Sandwiches that you surely haven't tried elsewhere, with cute "Romagnolo" names. We recommend "buridone" and "Giazzo" but surely the others are also delicious, so we will return!

An unexpected discovery, I am celiac and this little restaurant was a real surprise. We ordered a platter of cold cuts and cheeses accompanied by exceptional warm bread. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, I must absolutely return to try the gluten-free sandwiches that looked great and very inviting.

Gluten-free sandwich with top Mortadella from Bologna at Pan8. Near Piazza Maggiore in Bologna, we were able to enjoy an excellent bread with Mortadella, even in a gluten-free version. The service was quick and very kind. At the end of the meal, they offered us a chocolate that I could also eat because it was gluten-free, a simple thing but something I can never do in other places! Highly recommended to stop by Pan8!!!! P.S. They also offer takeout service.

It was great to find a little place in the center, in the alley next to the Duomo, where I could have a "quick" lunch during a day of visiting the city. A local spot with tables on the street; despite being crowded, they were quick with the service. The entire menu is gluten-free. The sandwiches are truly huge and succulent... You can't imagine the joy of being able to eat a big sandwich with mortadella like a normal person. The option to create your own sandwich is a really original idea, even though it's not exactly cheap, but it is definitely worth it!!!

Pan8 is just a stone's throw away from Piazza Maggiore in Bologna. The waiters are very attentive to gluten-free options and various intolerances, making me feel at ease from the very beginning. The platter was truly excellent, served with gluten-free bread (they brought the gluten bread for my husband separately). With the bill, they bring a little "gift" for the customers: a gluten-free and lactose-free chocolate tortellino. A real treat!

For others, there are long waits both to sit, to order, and to be served. Don't dare ask questions or try to request something, or even go to the bathroom! By the way: they produce vegan or vegetarian sandwiches just to increase sales. Meanwhile, they bake tons of sandwiches with mortadella and meat. A total sham. Long live money, right?! Terrible experience, simply because I was unable to eat the food. Being celiac, it is extremely difficult for me to find a place that makes gluten-free piadine or sandwiches, so I called to make sure there would be something available, and I was confirmed that they would have sandwiches. When I arrived there, everything was open and the tables were still outside, but the guy told me that, following the manager's instructions, he had already cleaned everything and closed half an hour earlier than the actual closing time. He refused to make the sandwiches (we were a group of people) and personally left me without food, as I chose this place specifically because it offered gluten-free food. The moral of the story: there was a lack of communication between those handling the phone calls and those at the counter, and I did not have dinner :(
