Trattoria Vecchio Mercato offers a complete gluten-free menu, ideal for quick lunches and relaxed dinners. Tasty dishes, generous portions, and affordable prices make the restaurant an excellent choice. Don't miss the bread, focaccia, and main courses.
5
Everything is exclusively gluten-free! Pizza only in the evening! Mid-week lunch menu at €15! Very good bread! The only big flaw: they have never changed the menu since the first day of opening! I have always frequented it, and the waiters are much more courteous than the owners Graziella and Bruno!
5
everything gluten-free what a dream
5
Pizzeria restaurant included in the AFC circuit. The menu is exclusively gluten-free. A must-stop for anyone who loves Bolognese cuisine. The homemade fresh pasta is unmatched; you can't find better, a must-try! The staff is exceptional: courteous, helpful, and friendly. It is definitely the best restaurant for celiacs and gluten-intolerant people in Bologna. A must-stop every time I pass by.
5
Antipasti, pizza, and dessert are very good and safe, recommended!
5
Our favorite place in Bologna, everything is really delicious
5
best restaurant (all gluten-free)
5
Great trattoria 100% gluten-free, everyone I brought has been very satisfied.
5
Excellent Cuisine!! The fried dishes are spectacular!!! The best in Bologna!!!
5
finally a place where you can eat safely. ALL GLUTEN-FREE and high quality. Friends and family who are not celiac ask me to come back to eat.
5
Curious about the numerous negative reviews of a completely gluten-free restaurant, I decided to see and taste this trattoria located over 2km from the center myself. The staff was very kind, the food was very good, and the prices were in line with other restaurants. The idea of making everything completely gluten-free to avoid any type of contamination is commendable. I will definitely return with pleasure.
5
Really good gluten free food for a very good price, we stopped in on a whim as it wasn’t far from our hostel and were pleasantly surprised. We both enjoyed our pizzas and were inspired to order desserts which were also incredible. Overall great experience here.
5
A must! Everything is delicious from the starters to the pizza!
4
Super positive note: Everything is exclusively gluten-free! The appetizer we had didn't fully satisfy us, definitely a matter of personal taste, while the cutlet was DELICIOUS! The chocolate cake was also very good. Overall, it’s a place I would recommend!
5
We were welcomed with big smiles and abundant kindness on Sunday evening, despite having booked just half an hour in advance, and we particularly appreciated the Parmigiano foam entrée, delicate yet flavorful. We opted for the balanzoni, gramigna with sausage, and the cotoletta alla Petroniana: an inclusive celebration (gluten-free and lactose-free menu) of Emilia's culinary tradition. To finish on a sweet note, we chose a chocolate tart with a soft center, accompanied by a scoop of ice cream to provide a delightful warm-cold contrast. Everything was exquisite, excellent value for money, a calm and friendly atmosphere, and impeccable service. We will gladly return!
4
Incredible restaurant with typical cuisine, or if you prefer a pizzeria. The menu is very appealing and rich in tasty choices, with options for variations in the first courses regarding the type of pasta paired with the sauce. I highly recommend trying the typical dishes; they are very well made and generously portioned. The Cotoletta alla Petroniana is a must for the hungriest palates, and the use of vegetable cream makes everything easier to digest; everything is gluten-free. The Sangiovese wine in a carafe is also good. Visit us, go there, or make a stop if you are in the area!
5
Not far from Bolognina, there is a restaurant that is absolutely unmissable for those who are celiac or have gluten issues. Bread and homemade pasta of such quality that it's hard to notice they are gluten-free. Fried gnocco, balanzoni, tortellini, and Bolognese specialties that have nothing to envy of other trattorias, at a completely competitive price, contrary to the pricing paradigm of gluten-free products around the rest of the world. Pleasant environment and staff, menu also includes fish, dog-friendly. One couldn't ask for more.
4
It's really nice that there is a dedicated gluten free restaurant in Bologna so people with gluten intolerance can partake in local fare. The Tagliatelle Bolognese was tasty as were the croquettes and chocolate cake. Though the overall theme was that the food felt a bit under seasoned. The lighting of the front room was also quite cool and wasn't very welcoming.
5
excellent products, completely gluten-free menu... attentive service. large location
5
Great trattoria where you can also find excellent crescentine with cold cuts, Bolognese-style cutlet, tortellini, tagliatelle, and everything a celiac has difficulty finding in Bologna.
5
Excellent food and the fact that the kitchen is totally gluten-free makes for a very relaxing experience. Friendly staff and average prices make this place five stars.
5
delicious food! I have been there several times and everything is truly delicious. Everything is gluten-free and the staff is very friendly.
5
The menu is entirely gluten-free, excellent fresh pasta, good platter of cured meats and crescentine (generous basket), friendly staff. I absolutely recommend it.
5
Completely GF restaurant, with an incredibly good typical Bolognese menu! There are also pizzas, but I haven't tried those. You can't tell the difference and, above all, the prices are those of any "normal" restaurant. I will definitely go back! 💕
5
The entire menu is gluten free, so there is a risk of contamination of 0. During the week, there is also a fixed-price menu at €15. Highly recommended!
5
The entire menu is gluten-free, so there is zero risk of contamination. During the week, there is also a fixed-price menu at €15. Highly recommended!
5
The staff is extremely kind and very helpful. All dishes were gluten-free and delicious. Specifically, we had spinach ravioli, pasta bolognese, and norma ravioli (vegetarian). Everything was exquisite. Not to mention the desserts; we had English trifle and a chocolate dessert, which were both fantastic! I absolutely recommend it! A paradise for celiacs!
5
Great dishes! The place and the food are truly excellent, appreciated even by non-celiacs! I hope to return as soon as possible!
5
Great experience at this traditional restaurant that has decided to ban gluten from the menu. None of us are celiac. A truly innovative idea. The venue is very spacious, with two large indoor rooms and an outdoor area. All the offerings are quality-focused: homemade pasta; excellent and varied first courses, both meat and fish; great appetizers (we had an appetizer of all eggplants: perfect); the second courses were also perfect; even the desserts. In short, you don't realize it's a gluten-free menu. Prices are reasonable given the quality. The staff is present and very kind. In the kitchen, there's a young and passionate team. Very attentive to customers: professionals communicating with the clientele. Highly recommended. Some photos of the venue attached, to give you an idea. We will return. Oh, they also have pizzas that are only available in the evening.
5
Excellent service and great dishes exclusively gluten-free. Highly recommended.
5
The food is delicious, a good experience!
5
I am celiac and for me going around comfortably while fearing contamination and thus feeling unwell is a constant worry. This restaurant is an oasis in the desert; not only is everything gluten-free, but it is exceptionally good, from the tortellini to the mixed fried dishes to the desserts. Generous portions and fair prices. The place is clean and the staff is very polite.
5
Everything was excellent! Very kind staff, great food, and the bill was absolutely in line with expectations. Moreover, everything was gluten-free, which is essential for us! The bread was so good that we had to ask if it was really gluten-free! More than satisfied!!
5
very good food, they only make gluten-free things
5
They do everything gluten-free only, in my opinion the best in Bologna. From pizzas to fruits to stuffed pasta, everything is excellent and with prices far too low for the quality.
5
The Food and Pasta/Pizza are very good! The desserts are delicious! The bread is very good! ❗️100% gluten free!❗️ I would like to point out that I have been to this restaurant many times in the last 6-7 years and I have never been disappointed! The staff is very friendly! I recommend this restaurant.
5
We chose this restaurant because they cook everything gluten-free for my daughter. We started with the bread, which I found excellent, especially the one with seeds. Then appetizers accompanied by crescentine: croquettes, eggplant rolls, parmigiana (excellent), fish tastings, and a board of cured meats and cheeses. We finished with maccheroni with guanciale and tagliatelle with ragù. Everything was cooked very well. Well done. Excellent service, friendly and kind. Recommended.
5
Traditional cuisine exclusively gluten-free. Everything is truly excellent and the prices are honest.
5
100% Gluten Free. Finally, we were able to eat the local specialties entirely gluten-free. Tortellini in broth, exceptional. Various beers, including draft. What can I say? If you find yourself passing through Bologna (like us), a stop is absolutely a must.
5
The best tortellini I have ever eaten in my life, even compared to those with gluten (I ate gluten for 18 years), so they are great if paired with someone on a gluten-free diet... also, the friendly and attentive staff is a plus. Definitely worth a visit.
5
Everything gluten-free and really great food. I loved their tortellini in broth and the amazing bread. I highly recommend it.
5
THE HEAVEN FOR CELIACS!!!!! EVERYTHING STRICTLY GLUTEN FREE AND YOU KNOW THAT NO ONE WOULD THINK SO BECAUSE IT'S MADE SO WELL THAT EVEN THOSE WHO ARE NOT CELIAC CAN EAT IT!!!!! IT SEEMS INCREDIBLE BUT IT'S THE TRUTH!!!! AND THEN MY FRIENDS, WHAT ABUNDANT DISHES, NOT LIKE THOSE SMALL THINGS THAT LEAVE YOU HUNGRY WHEN YOU LEAVE THE RESTAURANT!!!! RATED 10 STARS IF THERE WERE ANY!!!!!! TOP TOP TOP EVERYONE GO THERE EVEN IF IT'S FAR FROM YOU, MAKE A WEEKEND IN BOLOGNA, GO SEE FERRARI AND COMBINE THE USEFUL WITH THE PLEASANT!!!!
5
Cute, simple, and welcoming place. I decided to eat at this restaurant because the cuisine is exclusively celiac, even though I am not, but I was with company, and the lunch was organized to enjoy it together, without any differences. I must say that here the level is superior, dishes that do not seem 'readapted' at all. I challenge anyone to find the difference. The chosen dishes: 'Balanzoni', Spinach green pasta pockets filled with mixed ricotta, mortadella, spinach, Parmigiano Reggiano, and nutmeg, sautéed with mascarpone and Crudo di Parma; 'Fagotti verdi di Caprino', Spinach pastry pockets filled with goat cheese on pumpkin cream, and drops of Parmigiano Reggiano; 'Ravioli alla Norma', Ravioli filled with eggplant seasoned with Parmigiano Reggiano, dressed with a light tomato sauce and julienned salted ricotta; 'Cotoletta alla Petroniana', Breaded and fried cutlet, with Crudo di Parma and finished in the pan with Parmigiano Reggiano sauce and shavings of black truffle. All dishes homemade, including pasta made on the premises. The lunch was accompanied by excellent Sangiovese and really great draft beer, surely artisanal. To finish, an English trifle and a nougat semifreddo. All gluten-free, I repeat. Friendly and helpful staff, reasonable prices. Outdoor veranda that makes a potential lunch or dinner particularly pleasant in summer. The view is nothing special, but the food deserves a visit. I will return. Congratulations.

Just left this absolutely amazing and totally GLUTEN FREE restaurant. The atmosphere upon arrival was very welcoming and the design had a very "homely" trattoria style that creates an ideal environment for the customer. The menu is not particularly rich in quantity but is a true tribute to Emilian-Romagna gastronomic tradition. As a welcome, we were offered a single dish each of a characteristic Parmesan cream accompanied by really delicious bread (of course gluten-free, and you could hardly notice the difference from the classic). For first courses, we had a decent portion of ravioli alla norma (not exceptional quality but certainly good; maybe I was expecting a bit too much) and a spectacular gramigna with sausage that was truly excellent. Following that, we shared a very good cotoletta alla petroniana topped with a truly delicious truffle cream for the palate. All accompanied by a good house wine and a bottle of natural water. The quality-price ratio is very good, and the staff and the lady in charge (who I assume is the owner) were very kind and friendly. The only note to make: in my opinion, a cover charge of 3 euros per person might be a bit too high, and there was a bit too much waiting time between the first and second courses. Other than that, this does not affect the five stars that are absolutely deserved. Highly recommended!
5
Whole meal gluten-free. The tagliatelle were like wheat ones, nice and firm, and well-seasoned. The cutlets were abundant and tasty. Lower-than-average expenses. Recommended. The environment needs a bit of modernization.
5
Everything gluten-free!! You can eat everything and more, from pizza to crescentine, stuffed pasta, meat, fish, and even vegetarian dishes. Everything is delicious!! At lunch, there’s also a menu for workers at a great price. Well done!!
4
As a trattoria for celiacs, it's excellent. Unbeatable. Being non-celiac, I can say the taste is identical to that with gluten. The problem with this place is the service (understood as the total time from ordering to being served) because it can be quite slow. Of course, I'm speaking as a diner during the lunch break from work, so the goal is to eat quickly. In terms of food quality, excellent. It would be nice if they occasionally changed the side dishes.
5
being able to choose from a completely gluten-free menu is a dream. great food, reasonable prices, incredibly kind staff. we will definitely return.
5
only the GF establishment in the Bolognina neighborhood... amazing fresh pasta... their first courses are their strength... the planned GF options are also excellent.
5
Completely gluten-free typical cuisine.
5
The best gluten-free restaurant in Bologna. Entirely gluten-free menu and excellent food! I've tried everything by now: tagliatelle, gramigna, balanzoni, tigelle, desserts. Everything is fabulous!
5
Typical Bologna cuisine that is completely gluten-free, astonishingly good. A godsend, the dream of every celiac.
5
The entire gluten-free menu, Bolognese/Italian cuisine, good quality and great prices. Recommended!
5
A trattoria that feels like home. The waiters have a rare friendliness and kindness. We had dinner tonight and tried many typical Bolognese dishes (platter with crescentine, gramigna with sausage sauce, tortellini in broth), spending a truly honest amount. A round of applause for the desserts because they were really fabulous! Everything was gluten-free and lactose-free!
4
Great!
4
Not bad. The fresh pasta was very good, although heavy on the digestion, and the appetizer was good too. Limited choice. We were in an empty room (it was just us), but it was hot because the air conditioning was off. I will return because, being celiac, I found many dishes. At the end of the evening, they were very kind and to sweeten the bill, they offered us some pastries made by them.
5
Great GF offer, entire menu available. Atmosphere and food in a typical Bolognese trattoria style. Good value for money.
5
Completely gluten-free menu with a wide selection of first and second courses. There are also lactose-free options, great for those who are intolerant like me. Excellent!!
3
Regarding gluten-free options, I have nothing to say about safety and accuracy, but there is a problem for those with other allergies. I communicated that I had other allergies upon my arrival, and they were very courteous in checking what I could eat and sending the order. When the entrée was brought, it was visibly something I am allergic to, so I asked the waitress, and she returned taking the dish away, saying, "No, you can't have this." The same thing happened with the bread; one of the waiters told me, "No, you can't have that one with grains, it has soy," but if I hadn't asked, no one would have mentioned anything. Everything I ate was truly delicious, but really, there was little communication among the waitstaff.
5
very good food, bread also, all gluten-free so no contamination issues, average prices
5
We visited this place after hearing that they have gluten-free options and boy we were not disappointed. When you ask the waiter what they have gluten-free and the answer is "everything!", you know you're in the right place. We ordered 4 daily menus which contained two food courses, water, coffee, and wine. The food was excellent, the service was great, the place was quiet and we had a great time here. My only complaint would be the white wine which was included, as it had quite a bad taste. But overall, especially if you're looking for gluten-free food, this is the place to go!
5
Completely gluten-free restaurant. Finally, a place where you can eat freely, without fears and sacrifices. They offered us a parmesan mousse. We had a platter of cured meats with crescentine (served hot, a delicacy), a first course, and then dessert, which unfortunately I did not photograph. Excellent dishes, perfect service, very nice atmosphere. Fair prices. I will definitely return.
5
everything sg
5
THE ENTIRE MENU COMPLETELY GLUTEN FREE. Appetizers, tigelle, pasta, fried foods, and desserts. High quality food, average prices. A PARADISE FOR CELIACS (and others)!
5
Spectacular Bolognese kitchen trattoria. Perhaps only the pizza is not the best, but still good! The crescentine are perfect!
5
It really is worth it. Everything is strictly gluten-free. Good and abundant. A godsend for those with celiac disease.
5
I really enjoyed the food, generous portions, well done to the staff, the restaurant was full but not chaotic.
5
Delicious food, from pizza to crescentine, to first courses. Appreciated even by non-celiacs who don't notice the difference.
5
entirely gluten-free restaurant. The highlight is the crescentine! Absolutely worth trying, but the rest is also noteworthy! Every dish is always good and the staff is kind and available. I go there every time I can, my favorite spot in Bologna.
5
Everything gluten-free, the crescentine and gramigna are the best... not to mention the craft beers!
5
THE GLUTEN FREE PARADISE 🤩. I visited this trattoria with my family, the staff was very kind and polite (we had an unforeseen event and they immediately allowed us to change the time). As soon as we entered, they offered us a really excellent welcome appetizer. Then we ordered as a starter a kind of rice ball/cake and meatballs; right after that we ordered the first course, and obviously we had tortellini with raw ham, we also ordered dessert, everything was truly exquisite 😋, and especially the fact that EVERYTHING IS GLUTEN FREE.
5
THE GLUTEN FREE PARADISE🤩. I was at this trattoria with my family, the staff was very kind and polite (we had an unexpected issue and they immediately allowed us to change the time). As soon as we entered, they offered us a really excellent welcome appetizer. Then we ordered a kind of arancino/cake and meatballs as a starter; right after that, we ordered the first course and of course we had the tortellini with raw ham, and we also had dessert, everything was truly delicious 😋, and especially the fact that EVERYTHING IS GLUTEN FREE.

THE GLUTEN FREE PARADISE🤩. I went to this trattoria with my family, the staff was very kind and polite (we had an unexpected issue and they immediately allowed us to change the time). As soon as we entered, they offered us a truly excellent welcome appetizer. Then we ordered a kind of rice ball/cake and meatballs as a starter; shortly after we ordered the first course and of course we had the tortellini with prosciutto, and we also had dessert, everything was truly exquisite 😋, and especially the fact that EVERYTHING IS GLUTEN FREE.
5
To those who do not know me, it may seem like just another favor, but it is absolutely not so. I consider this place to be the best gluten-free restaurant in the Province of Bologna. Spectacular dishes and food, both fish and meat. Hand-made pasta and gluten-free fried fish that is indescribable for its crunchiness, softness, and lack of greasiness. With my celiac son, it’s a regular appointment because seeing the happiness in my son's eyes as he can choose any dish from the menu is a unique satisfaction. I almost forgot the fried gnocco with the cold cuts platter. If you've taken the advice, you must check it out.
5
Wonderful... truly a paradise of flavors. A bet won without a doubt cooking exclusively gluten-free. Quality never found before. The tortellini were spectacular, the crescentine too, the eggplant dish original and very good... the bread... tear-jerking. I wholeheartedly recommend it to all celiac friends who pass through Bologna... it's worth stopping here. Believe me, even non-celiacs will be pleasantly surprised.
5
Everything gluten-free, very delicious, from homemade tortellini to spectacular crescentine........ the only downside is that they finish too quickly hihihihi....... the English trifle is excellent. Cleanliness is top-notch and the staff is super kind and helpful. It's a pity they are too far from where I live, but every time I go to Bologna, they are my regular stop. Well done, well done, well done.
5
Completely gluten-free restaurant, high-level! A paradise for us with celiac disease, excellent bread, pizza, first and second courses, and desserts.
5
And here the wave begins.... A place that doesn't seem like much from the outside, close to Piazza Lucio Dalla, so you can easily get there by car and find parking. Once inside, you find very friendly, kind, and truly professional staff (applause). Welcome appetizer: a delicious parmesan foam, we had seconds! Excellent first courses, simply spectacular (and generous) the Petroniana cutlet, the vegetables were also very good. The desserts were decent, but let’s say that's not where they shine the most. The house pignoletto is also great. They also have gluten-free menus and gluten-free pizza in the evenings. Impeccable cleanliness. Highly recommended!
5
From appetizers to bread, from first courses to second courses, pizza and desserts all superb! Managed by simply fantastic staff! I felt at home right away and, importantly, the prices are not high! I can't wait to go back!
5
Great restaurant and pizzeria, everything is gluten-free and I challenge anyone to find the differences with gluten dishes. Starters and first courses are really good and the prices have little or no difference. Delicious cod croquettes and a first course with guanciale that is really good, homemade tortelli and cappellacci appreciated even by non-celiacs. Great place, super safe and highly recommended.
5
simply exceptional, what else to say about this trattoria, pizzeria completely gluten-free, you can enjoy a daily menu for 14 euros with a first course, second course with side dish, water, and coffee included, or choose from the menu; we had their handmade tagliatelle with ragù and a platter of cured meats and cheeses accompanied by fried gnocchi, simply spectacular, of course with the utmost safety as it is completely gluten free
5
Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, is gluten-free. The pasta dishes are excellent, as is the fresh bread, the petroniana cutlet is out of this world, as is the fried gnocco. The menu is super extensive; I think it’s a shame to come here and just order a pizza. Anyway, one of my favorite places in Bologna.
5
A happy island where I often go to enjoy a nice Sunday lunch. Everything is good! The crescentini are wonderful!!!!! The pizza is also good... and the Bolognese cutlet is divine!
5
Delicious food and all gluten-free. We had fried gnocco and Pretoniana schnitzel, super tasty! Highly recommended!
5
The top in Bologna, 100% gluten free
5
everything is absolutely delicious
5
Everything is very good and all gluten-free, excellent
5
Pleasant surprise. Located on the outskirts of Bologna, quite easy to reach even from the highway, the restaurant offers only gluten-free dishes. On the menu, you will find typical Bolognese dishes as well as pizza (this is available only for dinner). The tagliatelle with ragù and the Bolognese cutlet are excellent.
5
Tortelloni and delicious desserts! I will return to try the main courses.
4
The Trattoria Vecchio Mercato is a restaurant that cooks entirely gluten-free, but the flavor is practically indistinguishable from normal, making it a great option if you are a group that includes coeliacs. The atmosphere is very quiet and casual, nothing surprising; clean and tidy, that's what matters. The service was also precise and without any hitches. After a small sample of Parmesan cream offered by the house, I had a Cotoletta alla Petroniana, which was good and certainly abundant, although perhaps covered with a bit too much cream, served with baked potatoes. For dessert, the Chocolate Cream on whiskey cream, also good. Adding a glass of wine and a limoncello, I spent a total of €26, an absolutely fair price. Overall, I feel like recommending Vecchio Mercato. It's not the kind of restaurant I would call "surprising", but the cooking is solid and good!
5
Everything was delicious, from the appetizer to the dessert. I can't wait to go back to try other dishes too 💌
5
The heaven for Celiacs, I can't find another way to describe this trattoria. The menu offers exclusively gluten-free dishes, both for the restaurant and the pizzas. Excellent dishes both meat-based (the gramigna with sausage is a must-try) and fish-based (we had the chitarra di mare and it was delicious). Prices are affordable and it is also possible to book through The Fork. The staff is super friendly, the place is nice and quiet away from the center. Highly recommended, go, Celiacs and non-Celiacs, you won't regret it!
4
Nice place with some tables outside. Everything is good, including gluten-free options; several Bolognese specialties. We also tried the gluten-free pizzas and they are not bad at all. Prices are medium-high and unfortunately a bit far from the center, but we managed to walk there anyway. It's a nice walk.
5
Warm and welcoming restaurant, a bit far from the center but with ample parking space. The menu is COMPLETELY gluten-free and the quality is high. There are first and second courses both of meat and fish, and the appetizers are also interesting to try, especially the chef's mixed platter. The prices are slightly above average (but one must consider that the products are gluten-free) but the quality is worth it.
5
Very beautiful and welcoming location. Friendly and helpful staff. Cuisine exclusively gluten-free, from food to drinks. The dishes I tried were excellent. Being a girl intolerant to gluten, it's very nice to have a place where I can eat local specialties and drink craft beer without feeling unwell. I recommend this trattoria to anyone, even those without these issues, as it's really worth it. Good quality to price ratio.
5
An excellent restaurant for me, as I often pass through Bologna for work, has become a fixed stop! Everything is delicious and the gluten-free options are amazing!!! The staff is kind and helpful, and the prices and quality are in line! Definitely worth returning if you are in the area.
5
Great restaurant, not in the center so accessible by car (we parked at the Coop just a bit further, free parking) with friendly and nice staff from the very beginning. Everything is gluten-free; unfortunately, we couldn't try the pizza because they only make it in the evening, but what we ordered was all exquisite, really good dishes, and even the dessert was delicious 😋. Fair prices and excellent service, although not the fastest.
5
Very good and very quick in service. It's too bad about the not-so-great location, but the food is worth it. Crescentine and focaccias are delicious, everything is gluten-free.
5
Local solo GF, excellent food and generous portions. For lunch, there is a tourist menu available for 12 euros, the bread and focaccia are excellent!!!
5
Great Trattoria, I finally returned here to eat where everything is delicious and always amazes the diners I bring... EVERYTHING GLUTEN FREE. We had 2 seafood first courses and a spaghetti with clams and asparagus, followed by a superb fried fish with battered vegetables. The waiting staff is knowledgeable and attentive. I fondly remember the excellent dishes I've had on other occasions here at the Old Market, like the delicious LA PETRONIANA, the always well-seasoned and fragrant PIZZAS, the TEMPTING CRESCENTINE with cured meats, and the DELICIOUS desserts that joyfully conclude a good meal. THANK YOU to BRUNO and GRAZIELLA and their competent STAFF.
5
I have been celiac since 2004, and my son was diagnosed in 2013. For both of us, the experience at Trattoria Vecchio Mercato has been "magical"! For the first time in all these years, in which we have felt like "guests," even in AIC circuit restaurants, finally so much goodness but ABOVE ALL relaxation! EVERYTHING GLUTEN-FREE! EVERYTHING EXAGGERATEDLY GOOD WITHOUT GLUTEN! FINALLY..... This is how restaurants should be for a celiac, in my opinion!!! These are the places that should exist so you don't feel excluded, even while eating gluten-free, because a celiac often misses conviviality and sharing! At Trattoria Vecchio Mercato, we found their pasta dishes, the calzone, the pizza, and the desserts superb; I want to emphasize the also delicious bread basket at the center of the table: gluten-free, I've never seen anything like it!! Artisan bread!!! We were wonderfully assisted in the dining room and in all these years of my and my firstborn's "celiac disease," we have never managed to eat together with four people, tasting also the choices of other members. I did it in person; I thank you again here! Thank you! Multiply yourselves all over Italy!!! Praise, praise, praise!!
5
I discovered this restaurant five years ago and was very satisfied. This year I went back to celebrate an anniversary. The menu offers first and second courses from land and sea while maintaining the foundations of Bolognese culinary tradition. It is also possible to have a good pizza. Knowing the difficulty of making good bread with gluten-free flours, I was pleasantly surprised by the various types of good and soft bread that accompany the dishes. The place is clean and the service is friendly and fast. It is also possible to reserve outdoor seating. I noticed a faster service between courses even though the dining room was almost full. I recommend it even for those who are not intolerant. The bill? Fair, without unpleasant surprises.
4
Good restaurant for gluten-free dining. The first courses are excellent, the pizza is good but not top-notch. Polite staff.
5
Complete gluten-free menu, exquisite first courses. Good pizzas but nothing extraordinary in the end. Excellent second courses, but I would forget the fish here. Remarkable desserts. The safety here is absolute.
5
delicious food!!!
5
Everything is perfect and delicious!!! The crescentine are very good and their stuffed pasta is spectacular!! Also, their bread and focaccia are very, very good. The only small downside is the desserts where I would indulge more, but aside from that, everything is stunning and especially everything, absolutely everything, is gluten-free!
5
Delicious pizza! The whole menu is gluten-free. Great for those with celiac disease but also for those like us who are not. It was a real surprise to stumble upon it by chance; it was love at first sight. The pizza is thick and super soft. The desserts are good. Courteous staff and clean place.
4
Accessible locale even for those who are gluten intolerant. Very good. I tried the pizza. Highly appreciated and made with genuine ingredients. The only downside: the wait to place an order. Recommended for everyone.
4
I happened to end up there almost by chance (actually some friends had mentioned it, but I didn't go there on purpose) one Sunday for lunch. The atmosphere is unpretentious, lots of families gathering for Sunday lunch, friendly staff, a wide menu including fish and gluten-free options, generous and definitely good dishes. Reasonable prices, not expensive. I will return.
5
Well-made traditional dishes. Extremely friendly staff and honest prices. Recently renovated venue. Everything cooked for celiacs (including evening pizza). A nice surprise in a beautiful city.
5
Nice, relaxing, and clean environment. The cuisine is excellent... easy to digest and light! Gluten-free cooking is ideal for everyone. Appreciated the free appetizer from the chef while waiting! Attentive and friendly staff. The homemade liqueurs are excellent, just like everything else. I recommend it!!!
5
The menu is gluten-free...cooked excellently. Delicious food and impeccable service that is very attentive to customer needs. My husband and I feel very satisfied and we will gladly recommend it to our friends....
5
Excellent gluten-free restaurant. Clean, well-maintained, and welcoming. Finally a cook who knows that salt can be added but not removed, unlike 90% of restaurants. Word of mouth and... I will return.
4
Great restaurant 100% gluten free. A breath of fresh air for those who need to eat gluten-free and can choose whatever they want without problems, but great for others too; the dishes are tasty! Wide selection. Kindness. Pleasant atmosphere.
