best gluten-free breakfast in Florence and its province.

really good places, if you are in the area I recommend it because it is worth it and because such good places are rare to find.

The bakery has a seperate case for gluten free items- some pastries and mini sandwiches. I got 2 pastries and they asked if I would like any filling: you can get it plain, chocolate, pistachio, jam, etc. I got one chocolate and one pistachio. Both were delicious! Limited table space but I didn't have to wait too long for a seat.

Small locale but with outdoor tables overlooking Porta Romana. But a fantastic surprise: a lovely gluten-free showcase. Fantastic! Cream and chocolate-filled brioche are amazing! Excellent coffee! Friendly staff, exceptional. Very quick barista! Approved by a celiac!!!

Excellent pastry shop, they prepare gluten-free items in a separate lab. There is a review mentioning contamination, but that is absolutely not true; evidently, the previous person misunderstood!

I ordered a cake for my birthday. I felt unwell all night. The saleswomen, including a Japanese one, confirmed to me that they do not guarantee against contamination. It is not in the AIC circuit. Be careful.

A pastry niche for sweet lovers, especially for those of us who eat truly TOP Gluten-free! IRIS CAKE is my favorite and all the delicious variety they offer. Ginevra and Giulio, you are truly amazing.

Gluten-free hot chocolate, loose chocolates, freshly filled brioche, tarts with jam, and other gluten-free pastries. Very friendly service and prices more than fair. Worth it!

THE BEST GLUTEN FREE PASTRIES. Oh my gosh this place was a gold mine - they had a separate cabinet of fresh but sealed croissants, chocolate croissants, pies/tarts and other pastries. They tasted incredible, the texture was amazing, staff were really lovely. Also at the other end of the store they also had a similar cabinet for vegan. Pretty well priced too, we ordered 2 x GF pastries and 2 x coffees and paid just under 9 euros.

So far, I have only tried the cornetto sg, the best I have ever eaten. Everything is packaged one by one, but fresh and made in their workshop. I will return!

exceptional!!

Small pastry shop just outside the center. Gluten-free desserts made by them and of high quality, even though there isn't a huge selection. Great place for a quiet breakfast!

If you are in Florence, you must come here for breakfast, amazing pastries and a lot of gluten-free options.

Slightly away from the center, but you can easily reach it in half an hour on foot. Very friendly staff. The availability of gluten-free food is varied and exceptional. The best pastries I have ever tried. Highly recommended, especially for gluten-free options.

Excellent gluten-free pastries! Despite some downright bad reviews I've read here, we decided to try this café for a gluten-free breakfast, and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. The café is definitely small, but the quality and taste of the pastries are pure joy for us celiacs. Everything is strictly protected from possible contamination! Highly recommended!
1
Very small gluten-free pastries...high prices. Choice only between two or three pastries that are claimed to be fresh for the day, but are actually one or two days old. Highly discouraged.
4
Generous and good gluten-free distribution! Very friendly staff.

Great gluten-free pastry shop. We ordered a millefoglie for a birthday and it was delicious. The pastry had a perfect texture and the cream was light. Very good!

I am lucky to have this pastry shop next to my house and it's impossible to resist! The owners are friendly, approachable, and extremely helpful. The environment has retained its historical imprint, but with great attention to detail, both aesthetically and in the products made, since Pasticceria Gualtieri caters to everyone's tastes with gluten-free pastries and vegan desserts so good that you can't tell the difference from the "classics." Honorable mention to the Millefoglie: the chantilly cream with the addition of chocolate pieces envelops the palate, and the crispiness of the pastry crafted to perfection reaches heavenly heights. Well done, guys, keep it up!

One of the first pastry shops in Florence to offer gluten-free products made in-house. Traditional pastries (croissants, puddings, puff pastries...) packaged one by one.
5
Pastry shop with a long-standing tradition. It has a wide selection of both breakfast sweets (I love the Ricotta Puff Pastry) and cakes, all delicious and light, to the point that I could eat 2 or 3 for breakfast. The Iris cake, which is their specialty, is very good, always prominently displayed in the well-kept showcase. Great options are also available for gluten-free and vegan choices. I really appreciate that the gluten-free pastries are packaged to avoid contamination, as it shows attention to intolerances and allergies. The location is excellent, and the staff is always available and smiling, always ready to recommend the sweetest treat for every taste and occasion.

Everything was perfect! I ordered a gluten-free pandoro, absolutely 10!!! It does not make me miss the traditional gluten-containing one at all. The gluten-free cake is as beautiful as it is good! The requested customization was impeccable. Thank you, and see you next time.

I was given an artisanal gluten-free panettone from Gualtieri. The person who ordered it asked if it was traditional, meaning with raisins and candied fruit, and was told yes. Well, besides being chewy like industrial ones, it is completely lacking raisins and candied fruit. At least you could have added those!

Pastry shop located at the beginning of via Senese, open for almost 100 years, synonymous with quality and excellent service. Giulio and Ginevra, the owners, are very kind and always ready to provide explanations and help the customer in their choice. Great variety of pastries and cakes, I highlight a wide selection of vegan and gluten-free pastries (for which they have a dedicated laboratory free from contamination) and of which they are pioneers in Florence. Go and try it, you will not be disappointed.

Finally, a pastry shop that has a display case for gluten-free items as well.

Very negative. I went there because they claim to produce gluten-free desserts. After ordering a regular millefoglie, as they advised me against the gluten-free one, and two single-portion gluten-free treats for two celiac people, I went to pick up the desserts and surprise... the gluten-free treats were not there and being late in the evening they didn’t have anything and were unable to give me anything.

The best bar in Porta Romana. Ginevra, Giulio, and all their staff put passion and dedication into what they do, mixing innovation with the tradition of pastry art. One of the few bars in Florence to guarantee not only excellent traditional pastries but also valid vegan and gluten-free alternatives. The takeaway desserts are truly remarkable, perfect for a dinner or special occasion. The Iris cake is a must-try at least once. Keep it up!

I ordered a gluten-free mimosa a week ago, and what can I say... simply excellent. The staff is really kind and available, ready to meet every customer's need. I highly recommend it; also, the prices are not high considering that gluten-free foods are really expensive. Soon I will try the gluten-free panettone.
