a wonderful experience to be able to have breakfast peacefully without having to specify anything!!! I tried the cream and gianduia croissant, sublime. The cappuccino is made with their artisanal almond milk and there are a lot of pastries, biscuits, and cakes. A must-try if you pass through Florence!

my daughter tried the cream croissant and it was very good. courteous staff. we will definitely come back.

But what can I say, another GF gem in Florence that confirms for me the city with widespread GF solutions at the top for quality. I visited the new location near Boboli but I can confirm the quality is amazing.

Wonderful place, both for location and quality. Incredible, crazy selection of desserts both for taste and really excellent quality.

After the unprofessional response from the owner, I would suggest two pieces of advice: 1 Count the increasing one-star reviews and hire more staff. 2 Add an 'S' in front of the business name that 'Rude' suits the owner's personality more. Slow service, non-functioning bathroom, and additional charges for table service aside from the cover charge. Moreover, the pastry shop is not worth the price, and the savory alternatives are scarce and sad. Ideology applied with a lack of taste and common sense, cappuccino only with almond milk (no oat or soy milk) result? A cappuccino that is not very frothy and overwhelmed by the taste of almond. I was surprised by the imposition of coconut sugar and the lack of brown sugar, especially because? The venue is not up to par with the area and its history.

A raw pastry shop that makes incredibly delicious products!!! You would eat one after another because they are so good!! The environment is beautiful, with outdoor seating in one of the most beautiful locations in Florence, very friendly staff, and reasonably good prices!! Definitely worth a try!!!

Tried on January 1, 2026. I had never tried a Vegan Coffee, and I was pleasantly surprised by the very good pastries. It’s a small environment with rooms to enjoy a coffee calmly.

What a real shame it's only in Florence! During these two days as a tourist, I felt pampered by their products. From the raspberry croissant at breakfast to the afternoon tea with incredibly delicious pastries! For someone like me who is vegan and gluten-free, it was truly a dream! Courteous, polite, and professional service. The lady we encountered in the morning explained everything in detail, and as a pastry chef, I appreciated it greatly! Truly excellent quality and a nice, comfortable environment! I look forward to seeing you in Rome!!

A pleasant surprise. While looking for a nearby place for breakfast (gluten-free), I found this little spot. An excellent experience, a varied selection of pastries, Vegan and Gluten-free. Everything was very beautiful and tasty. The hazelnut dessert and almond sponge cake were excellent, accompanied by almond milk cappuccino. Recommended!!!

Charming location that offers vegan products, delicious filled croissants, and very good cappuccino with almond milk. Absolutely recommended, considering the excellent location. Average cost considering it is in the center of Florence.

A place I hope to return to soon and often: here I had my first croissant with fresh cream at the café, delicious. As a celiac and vegan, it's practically a luxury I can never afford. EVERYTHING is completely gluten-free and vegan. Besides having breakfast on-site, I took several sweets to go, each one more delicious than the last. The staff is super kind and smiling. The view of the square speaks for itself. We need more places like this 💚

I have been a loyal customer since the opening of Cortese and have followed the chef's work with enthusiasm since his time at Grezzo. I have always found his products to be excellent, creative, and of the highest quality. However, it is truly a shame to see how the establishment has been neglected in many aspects. The men's bathroom has had a broken lock for over a year, which has never been repaired. I tried using the restroom for people with disabilities: the soap dispenser doesn't work, the faucet shuts off immediately upon being opened because it doesn't stay up, and the electric hand dryer is out of order. Given the decidedly high prices and a cover charge of €1 that is paid even without table service, I would expect a well-maintained, tidy environment and a more attentive and present staff. I'm very sorry to say this, but I have been deeply disappointed. I hope this feedback is taken as a motivation to bring Cortese back to the level it deserves.

Very nice cafe with a view of the square. The desserts are all vegan and raw, so different from the usual. We liked them all, especially the pistachio and caramel single portion! Prices are higher than a normal pastry shop but still not unreachable (we spent €10 each for a cappuccino and a few desserts).

Welcoming and very knowledgeable staff about the products for sale, they can explain the ingredients in detail upon request. A very pleasant and well-maintained place to take a break and enjoy an excellent ice cream. We recommend the pistachio and salted cashews, amazing flavors. Finally, spacious and clean restrooms, which are always a appreciated courtesy for the customer. Well done!

I recommend it for those who are lactose intolerant or celiac, even though the prices are really very high. I didn't like the brownie, it was too doughy and heavy, it didn't melt in the mouth at all like it should. The view is very pleasant as it is in front of Santa Maria Novella.

Treat yourself to the possibility of discovering new flavors and experimenting with raw vegan pastry. The prices are high and the environment is not very well-kept, but the judgment is positive. Someone wrote that the staff is rude. This is not true. I met two very kind, helpful, and smiling girls. I tasted several samples. If you love "sweet" desserts, this is the place for you.

Amazing! The pastry is delicious! Incredible that everything is vegan, gluten-free, and raw! They make their own almond milk to prepare the most wonderful cappuccinos! The pistachio delight is exceptional! And then you sit under a very cool porch with a view of S. MARIA NOVELLA....what else?!??!

Clean and well-kept environment, suggestive location directly on the square. Delicious and complete vegan, raw, and gluten-free sweets! Gourmet pastry! NB: they do not serve savory dishes.

Amazing place. Very kind and polite staff, especially ready to respond to all my needs or curiosities (I was really thrilled!). A really trendy and very clean venue. There's space with tables for dining both inside and outside. Of course, top marks for the pastries that are not only vegan but also raw, organic, and gluten-free. VEGAN WHITE CHOCOLATE, never found it anywhere else! Really highly recommended because they really know how to use these ingredients and they are very good at it! Congratulations, absolutely my new favorite place in Florence!

First time in this Raw pastry shop and I was very satisfied. Pistachio and gianduia ice cream very good with the genuineness and flavor of the "real product"; crunchy and tasty cone. I also wanted to try a raw almond, lemon, and coconut: here it's truly an explosion of flavors! Definitely a must-try!

A very chic pastry shop with outdoor space in front of Santa Maria Novella. It offers incredibly high-level sweets! Non-celiacs and non-vegans shouldn't be intimidated (I'm neither one nor the other, but these desserts are among the best I have ever tasted). I would also add that the place is furnished with extreme taste and the owners are very pleasant!

Although I am not vegan and have no intolerances, I love this place. I go there almost every Sunday with some friends and little by little we are trying everything. The hot chocolate is exceptional; you can taste the pure cocoa and it has an intense flavor. In the photos, you can see, besides the chocolate, a pistachio cake, almond milk, and cookies with erythritol, which are also suitable for diabetics. I would love to have breakfast there and try the ice creams!

Absolutely a must-try! Welcomed by a kind and helpful staff who listed the raw, gluten-free, and vegan desserts, I was able to confirm what is stated in the overwhelmingly positive reviews of this place. It felt unreal to eat delicious gluten-free and vegan sweets and cookies! A true paradise! Again, compliments, I can't wait to return to Florence just to come back to you!

THE PARADISE OF SWEETS!!! We came from Rome, my husband and I, specially to try all the delights created by chef Vito Cortese. We tasted everything! Three hours passed in the blink of an eye. What can I say? It's hard to describe perfection. Only those who appreciate their health, the quality, and the naturalness of ingredients will understand 'the majesty' of the taste and the uniqueness of these products. Top ingredients, exceptional flavors, wonderful staff, and impeccable venue! Congratulations to all of you, guys! We will DEFINITELY return. 😉 We sincerely wish you to be appreciated by as many people as possible and to always have more loyal customers. Thank you so much, dear Vito, for your precious work! Thanks to people like you, the world has a wonderful future! 💕 💕 💕 P.S. Even the appetizers and savory food have a special touch... BRAVO AND CONGRATULATIONS! A big hug 🤗
