Attention for gluten-free options, I made a reservation and was told over the phone that it was not a problem. Upon arrival, I found a knowledgeable and attentive waiter who was able to advise me. The appetizer with cold cuts and cheeses was served with gluten-free bread heated to order, the meat was very good, and the roasted potatoes were fantastic.

Restaurant found listed on The Fork while searching for a place to have lunch on a Sunday. We chose La Locanda because it was close and available, but we were actually pleasantly surprised. The restaurant is very simple, nice, and in theme with its name. The menu is not extensive, with few dishes (for example, we didn't see any pasta), but I would say they are very well made. We initially chose a meat platter (classic) and a vegetarian one, but due to the quality and taste of the items, we decided to add an additional platter. I particularly appreciated the quality of the products and the fact that they were prepared on the spot (vegetables warm to perfection, excellent pieces of meat, cold cuts sliced like "by hand"). Later, we all chose a main course. Some had the classic sliced beef, some with green pepper, some the tartare, and some the chicken bites. In any case, the response was unanimous: good, good, and good. Excellent dishes, well prepared with quality ingredients. Generous portions. I, in particular, chose the filet with green pepper and can say it was excellent except for a bit of tough fat present in the meat (minor issue). The side dishes were also excellent, warm, and crispy. If I had to find a flaw, it would be the desserts. I tasted the cheesecake and didn’t particularly like it, but that’s personal taste. The staff was kind, helpful, and patient. Wait times weren’t very short (despite a not excessive presence in the restaurant) but I believe it depends on the fact that everything is really prepared on the spot. I didn’t have the chance to test or ask about the availability of dishes for any dietary needs (gluten-free or lactose-free). Flaw: lack of a changing table in the bathroom. The bill, in line with what was eaten, was 39 euros per person for 5 adults including: 3 platters, 4 main courses with 4 side dishes, 2 seated meals with included side dish, extra portion of fried polenta, N water, cover charge, and coffee. Complimentary liqueurs. Absolutely recommended.
