I had known this pizzeria for many years but didn’t know they offered gluten-free pizza. The dough was good, but I admit I didn’t ask about the risk of contamination. However, in the following days, I didn’t have any symptoms.

They prepare the gluten-free pizza dough in the afternoon, so it's good to call ahead... it's really worth it, excellent!

During a weekend at the sea to attend a concert of the "Lucca Summer Festival", we were advised by the owner of the B&B where we stayed to have dinner at this place to, I quote, "eat well without straying too far from San Giuliano Terme" ... well, the venue is beautiful, in the middle of the large outdoor area there is a "little square" dedicated to dance on themed nights. We happened to arrive during a live classical dance night and ordered two first courses, a risotto with clams and pici with burrata, asparagus, and crispy speck. Waiting times were normal, but upon tasting, both first courses turned out to be very disappointing: the clams, once taken out of their shell, were inedible and hard to cut with a knife ... very chewy and difficult to swallow 🤨 while the pici were tasteless … totally without salt or bland and watered down in their sauce. Another thing I didn’t like very much was the volume of the music; even though it was quite far from the dance area, it was almost impossible to talk at a table for two, facing each other ... but since it was a themed dance music night, maybe it makes sense 🤷🏻

A wonderful surprise for me too! I went to this restaurant for a surprise birthday, and even though no one had informed them about my celiac disease, the staff was exceptional. With great willingness and attention, they managed to accommodate me in everything, offering me tasty and safe dishes. The gluten-free pizza was truly one of the best I have ever eaten! A heartfelt thank you for the kindness and professionalism: I will definitely return!

After 6/7 years, when my parents took me there with friends, I returned realizing why we hadn’t been back. Slow service, extremely slow, 30 minutes just to bring water and bread, and 45 minutes for the appetizers. The staff acted funny in their way; they did their job. Regarding the food, I start with the small beer that I fear they may have confused with a tasting of the beer, as it arrives in a normal glass with a maximum of 180ml compared to at least 500ml of the regular beer. We decide to order a "Gran antipasto" (€15) for every two people, as suggested by the waiter. We receive an absurdly small and poorly presented amount of food; all the appetizers were lumped together, and the fried pasta was just a rubbery ball normally cooked in the oven. The crostini with liver (straight from the cheapest product in the minimarket) were sour. Moving on to the pizzas. Horrible, inedible. The quality of the products was really poor; the pizza base was a poorly seasoned fried focaccia, full of oil. I experienced a difficulty in digesting that I have encountered few times. Furthermore, a celiac customer did not feel very well after ordering a gluten-free pizza that was probably contaminated. Even the inconvenient and distant location suggests it; avoid it.
